The action thriller has been renewed for a second season, set to continue exploring the high-pressure experiences of police, paramedics, and firefighters who are thrust into the most frightening situations.

Sarah Dunn’s family comedy series is narrated by a strong-willed mother named Katie (Katy Mixon) as she attempts to raise her flawed family in a wealthy town filled with Stepford-style wives and their “perfect” offspring.

An arrogant former philosophy professor takes a job teaching Advanced Placement Biology in order to use his students to seek vengeance on the people in his life who have wronged him.

Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg’s action-adventure show follows a spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) who disappears and is presumed dead. However, he returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a plucky vigilante armed with a bow and arrow.
The Big Bang Theory

Obviously this comedy show was going to get renewed, continuing the stories about the socially awkward physicists who know little about life outside of the laboratory. Season 12, and counting.
Black-ish

Fingers crossed a renewal is granted for Black-ish – the sitcom starring Anthony Anderson (The Departed) and Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends) about a family man who struggles to gain a sense of cultural identity while raising his kids in a predominantly white, upper-middle-class neighborhood.
Black Lightning

Another show we’re happy to see making a comeback is Black Lightning, the series based on the DC Comics character of the same name, following a crusading school principal who gets back into action as the original African-American electrical superhero.
The Blacklist

The Blacklist follows FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone), who has her entire life uprooted when a mysterious criminal named Raymond Reddington turns himself in and insists on speaking only to her.
Blindspot
Status: On the bubble
Martin Gero’s drama series begins with the story Jane Doe, as she is found in Times Square with no memory and mysterious tattoos all over her body. When agent Kurt Weller and his FBI team set to work to crack the case, they soon discover each tattoo is a clue, making Jane’s body a maze of mysteries that must be solved to uncover her true identity.
Blue Bloods

Mitchell Burgess & Robin Green’s crime drama revolving around a family of New York cops is expected to make a return.
Bob’s Burgers

Don’t worry peeps, Bob’s Burgers is safe. Everyone’s favorite cartoon family (Bob Belcher et al) will be headed back to Fox for another round.
The Brave

Created by Dean Georgaris (Paycheck) and starring Anne Heche (Six Days Seven Nights) and Mike Vogel (The Help), this military drama depicts the missions of an elite covert operations team of the Defense Intelligence Agency, delving into the complex world of those who make personal sacrifices while carrying out challenging and dangerous missions behind enemy lines.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine

While we’re not yet sure about the fate for our #1 kooky cop comedy, Film Daily has a very strong case about why FOX should definitely bring it back for a sixth season.
Bull

Bull stars Michael Weatherly (Dark Angel) as Dr. Jason Bull in this drama inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw – the founder of one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time.
The Carmichael Show

This comedy about the stand up comedian Jerrod Carmichael (Transformers: The Last Knight), his therapist in-training girlfriend, and his heavily opinionated family will not be making a comeback this TV season. Tough crowd!
Champions

It’s up in the air for Charlie Grandy & Mindy Kaling’s comedy about a charismatic gym owner with no ambition who lives with his younger brother, a good-looking idiot. Their simple life of women and working out is put on hold when the former’s son is dropped off on their doorstep by one of his old high school flings.
Chicago Fire

The outlook is positive for this show centering on the story of firefighters in Chicago, both on a personal and professional level.
Chicago Med
Status: Expected to return
Starring Oliver Platt (Bicentennial Man), Nick Gehlfuss (Shameless), and Yaya DaCosta (The Kids Are All Right), Chicago Med follows the lifesaving doctors, nurses, and staff at the city’s new trauma center, presenting an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the hospital and those who run it.
Chicago P.D.

NBC’s crime drama revolves around District 21 of the Chicago Police Department, which is made up of two distinctly different groups: the uniformed cops and the Intelligence Unit.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

DC fans will be pleased to know Legends of Tomorrow will return, bringing back its time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter, who has to recruit a ragtag team of heroes and villains to help prevent an apocalypse that could impact not only Earth, but all of time. Yikes!
Deception

Cameron Black (Jack Cutmore-Scott) was once the world’s most famous illusionist before his greatest secret was exposed and his career destroyed. However, he is recruited by the FBI where he uses his skills of deception to bust criminals and solve high-profile cases.
Designated Survivor

This cleverly titled action drama starring Kiefer Sutherland (Mirrors) sees a low-level Cabinet member become President of the United States after a catastrophic attack kills everyone above him and leaves him in line for the top spot.
Dynasty

Dynasty has been renewed to continue its story on America’s wealthiest families as they feud for control over their fortune and their children.
Empire
Status: Renewed
A hip-hop mogul must choose a successor among his three sons who are battling to be put in charge of his multi-million dollar company, while his ex-wife schemes to grab at his cash too.
The Exorcist

Sadly, the TV show didn’t fare as well as the movie, following three priests who are dealing with cases of a demonic presence targeting a family and a foster home.
Family Guy

Somehow Family Guy is still going, having been renewed for yet another installment for the 2018-19 TV season.
The Flash
Status: Renewed
Superhero shows are going from strength to strength at the moment, The Flash included, having been renewed for another season. The show follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) who, after waking up from a coma to discover he’s been given the power of super speed, become the Flash, fighting crime in Central City.
Fresh Off the Boat
Status: Likely to return
The outlook is positive for Nahnatchka Khan’s comedy series about a Taiwanese family as they make their way in America during the 1990s.
Ghosted
Status: On the bubble
In this alien crime spoof, a skeptical tough ex-cop is forced to team up with a nerdy scientist and firm believer of the paranormal. Matt Nix’s drama fantasy is set in a world where mutated humans are treated with distrust and fear and an institute for mutants battles to achieve peaceful co-existence with humanity.
The Goldbergs

It’s a renewal for the ABC show that takes place in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania in the 80s and follows the lives of a family named the Goldbergs.
The Good Doctor

Another season is planned for The Good Doctor, centered on Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) – a young surgeon with autism and Savant syndrome – who is recruited into the surgical unit of a high-ranking hospital.
