Who is JoJo?

JoJo Siwa is a nineteen-year-old dancer, singer, and YouTuber who found fame on the hit reality show Dance Moms. After her two-season appearance on Dance Moms, she went on to release music including the hits “Boomerang” and “Hold the Drama”. After finding even more fame on Youtube, she was able to collaborate with Nickelodeon and release merchandise.

In January 2021, JoJo Siwa gained even more popularity when she announced her sexuality. She snapped a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt that read, “Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever.” One month later, the starlet confirmed she was dating Kylie Prew on Instagram:

“After being my best friend for over a year . . . I got to start calling this exceptional human my girlfriend. Since then, I’ve been the happiest I have ever been! She seriously is the most loving, supportive, happiest, protective, and just the most beautiful perfect person in the world. And I get to call her mine!”

However, Prew called it quits after less than one year of dating in October.

Hold the Drama

JoJo has an older following now since she’s moved her content onto TikTok. The young star has become more mature and so have her videos. She also became more open with her personal life, making the aforementioned Prew relationship public, as well as her subsequent romance with TikTok star Avery Cyrus. Unfortunately, the romance with Cyrus did not end well.

JoJo recently broke her silence on the Cyrus break up, and it appears as though she feels the TikTok star was using her to advance her own career. This all happened, fittingly, in a TikTok, where JoJo drops a bombshell aimed directly at Cyrus: “You told one of my best friends that you were excited to be dating me bc you’re ‘growing your career and wanna get to the top’…”

The YouTube sensation went on to recall an exchange she had with Cyrus that solidified the net worth boost Cyrus thought she’d be able to finesse: “When I said I just wanted to be friends so I didn’t lead you on after an unplanned hookup you wanted nothing to do with me because there was nothing to gain anymore.”

Bottom Line

So did JoJo’s relationship with Cyrus affect her bottom line? Is her net worth in jeopardy? It doesn’t look like it. The relationship, while notable, was brief, and if JoJo’s accusations are true, then she comes out on the right side. Her fortune is intact. Cyrus has definitely gotten a boost from the exposure, but it has mostly been negative.

Cyrus has yet to respond to JoJo’s TikTok accusations, but she did respond to an earlier, similar claim from the YouTuber, and told E! News that she was “saddened and confused by the situation.” It’s evident that we have yet to hear the entire story, but given how comfortable JoJo has been airing out the situation, it’s likely we’ll get the whole thing sooner than later.
