Did Britney Spears’s ex-husband storm the Capitol? All the details
Former husband of Britney Spears, Jason Allen Alexander, was seen at the pro-Trump incursion at the Capitol Building on Wednesday. It still isn’t clear if he was part of the group that got into the building, but his presence at the event still sparked controversy on social media. There isn’t indication he was part of the group who broke in.
On Wednesday, Congress convened to count and certify electoral votes. Trump supporters rallied outside, and Alexander was one of them. He posted selfies to his Facebook account from the event, and can be seen with a gray beard, khaki sweater, and a Trump beanie. In the photo, other people with similar hats are shown and there are also Trump banners in the background. He captioned a post: “DC. Millions showed up.”
More about what happened
The Associated Press reported there were “several thousand protesters” at the rally at the Ellipse, a park near the White House. President Donald Trump made statements Wednesday leading up to the House & Senate meeting. “If you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” said Trump.
Alexander has posted about Trump before, and this isn’t the first time he’s made comments in support of him. Before Wednesday’s pro-Trump rally, Alexander posted a video of himself at what looked like another pro-Trump protest. “Where all my patriots I’m on the Trump Train what will you tell your grand kids,” Alexander wrote on the video.
Alexander’s past
Alexander has been making political posts on social media for quite some time now. His recent posts aren’t anything new or surprising. His Facebook posts are public, and there are various pro-Trump posts on his feed.
Additionally, his employment is listed as “Journalist researcher at Conspiracy Theories & History.” He’s also posted about why he doesn’t wear masks.
“I don’t wear a mask bc I don’t listen to tyrannical orders not voted on in a fair election. I don’t consent to the mark of the beast practices and I don’t value material shit and I’m locked and loaded ready to kill anyone or thing that trys to make me,” one post said.

Britney Spears fan account
Jason Allen Alexander made major headlines in 2004 when he became Britney Spears’s husband, but now he’s getting another fifteen minutes of fame. One of the most popular tweets about Alexander at the Capital was from Britney Spears fan account @BritneyHiatus. The account posted a screenshot from Facebook.
The screenshot featured a comment from someone who is allegedly Alexander’s cousin. The person wrote that Alexander was at the rally and said “I’m really related to a domestic terrorist.”
The Tweet with the attached screenshot had a lot of comments. Someone said to “keep this man away from her at all costs”. The Twitter user was most likely referring to Spears.
#FreeBritney: the history behind Britney Spears & her husband
But former husband Jason Allen Alexander hasn’t stayed away from Britney Spears. The Washington D.C. upheaval wasn’t the first protest Alexander has attended recently. He was also seen at a #FreeBritney demonstration in Los Angeles over the summer. Fans were protesting Spears’ conservatorship. The singer is under a guardianship by her father, who has control over major aspects of her life.
“You see all this money that’s missing and being spent and out of her control, so it’s just time to put it to an end,” Alexander told TMZ during an interview at the rally. “I’ve been going through this process with her. She’s supportive of the movement and ready for the conservatorship to end.”
Alexander became Spears’s husband for fifty-five hours in 2004 when the two childhood friends eloped in Las Vegas. However, soon after officially being together, the marriage was annulled.
