Sinking net worth: See all the companies dropping Marilyn Manson
Earlier this week metal musician & actor Brian Hugh Warner, who goes by Marilyn Manson, was accused of sexual assault & abuse. Four women, including Westworld actress and Manson’s former fiance Evan Rachel Wood, came forward alleging they experienced assault and/or abuse from Manson.
Since then, numerous projects have publicly pulled business ventures with Manson. California state senator Susan Rubio wrote Acting Attorney General Monty Wilkison and FBI director Christopher Wray a letter urging their departments to investigate the allegations against the singer.
As more companies continue to distance themselves from Manson, his net worth and value is sure to be affected. Here’s how his fortune has taken a hit already.
Previous allegations
Like Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, and Woody Allen before him, allegations of Marilyn Manson’s abusive behavior have floated around for years. In 2018, Evan Rachel Wood testified before congress in order to get support for the Sexual Assault Survivors Bill of Rights passed. In her testimony, she talked about her own experience with abuse.
“Toxic mental, physical, and sexual abuse, which started slow, but escalated over time, including threats against my life, severe gaslighting and brainwashing, waking up to the man that claimed to love me raping what he believed to be my unconscious body, and the worst part, sick rituals of binding me up by my hands and feet to be mentally and physically tortured until my abuser felt I had ‘proven my love for them,’” she stated.
Rumors circulated that Wood was referring to Manson, whom she started dating when she was eighteen while he was thirty-six. Nothing was confirmed until Monday when Wood named him on Instagram. She went on to accuse him of brainwashing, manipulation, and horrific abuse.
Manson responded on Instagram with this own statement. “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” he wrote, calling his relationships “entirely consensual”.
The label knew, management knew, the band knew. Distancing themselves now, pretending to be shocked and horrified is fucking pathetic.

However, in 2009 Manson told Spin that he had “fantasies every day about smashing her skull in with a sledgehammer.” In that interview, he admitted to obsessively calling Wood and cutting himself post break up. On Thursday, acclaimed singer-songwriter Pheobe Bridgers alleged Manson showed her “his rape room”.
Despite his statement, many companies have dropped Manson from their payrolls since these allegations have circulated.
CAA
Creative Artists Agency, Marilyn Manson’s longtime booking agent, has dropped the singer Monday. In their twenty-year working relationship, Manson would make between $300,000 to $400,000 per show for the company. His 2012-2013 “Rape of The World Tour” made over $28 million.
These endeavors made Manson’s net worth skyrocket, but now that CAA has cut ties, this figure likely won’t grow as rapidly.
CAA also represents Evan Rachel Wood.

American Gods
The hit Starz fantasy drama also dropped Manson from their cast, announcing Tuesday they will cut his upcoming appearance on American Gods. He has already appeared on the third season twice as Johan, an Odin worshipper and lead singer of the Viking death metal band Blood Death. His last episode, “The Unseen”, aired on Sunday night.
American Gods’ network released a statement saying they stand “unequivocally with all victims and survivors of abuse.” American Gods’ lead Yetide Badaki supported the decision to erase Manson from the show. “I stand with Evan Rachel Wood and these brave women,” she tweeted.
Creepshow
In the wake of the allegations, AMC networks announced that Marilyn Manson’s upcoming episode of the Shudder series Creepshow will not air. The horror anthology series is a TV adaptation of the 1980s film franchise. Manson was set to appear in one of the show’s two segments. According to Shudder, his segment will be replaced with another.

Loma Vista Recordings
Loma Vista Recordings, a subsidiary of Concord music group, was one of the first companies to cut ties with Manson.
“In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately. Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects,” the group said in a statement.
Manson started working with Loma Vista in 2015 for his record The Pale Emperor. While he still owned the rights to the music, the recording company gained the right to distribute it. Manson made two more albums with Loma Vista, Heaven Upside Down and We Are Chaos, before ties were cut yesterday. With this income severed, his net worth likely will cease to expand as it had previously.

Honestly this is sickening that he had not yet been convicted and he’s losing his livelihood. What if the allegations are false? Something is not right here.

How can company’s that clearly benefited from MM music suddenly drop a artist that conveyed there work so clearly in front of the population without any real court of law be dropped?
February 20, 2021This automatically assumes the truth behind a serious allegation before the true real process.
If you are proven guilty this would inevitably be the outcome but its unfair until the evidence is proven in a court of law.
