What's up with Ghislaine Maxwell being sighted with Jeffrey Epstein, six years after they said they had contact? Delve into the details here.

All the lies Ghislaine Maxwell told about her relationship with Epstein

Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial is set for 2021 for her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring. Although she pled not guilty and still maintains her innocence, several victims of Jeffrey Epstein reported that she outright participated in their abuse.

Ghislaine Maxwell was known as Jeffrey Epstein’s “madam in chief,” and according to some reports, was Epstein’s number one recruiter in his sex-trafficking pyramid scheme. Maxwell also introduced Epstein to a few of his influential clients, including Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

Ghislaine Maxwell was also Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend. While the history of their relationship has conflicting information, new tidbits came to light that might show that Maxwell wasn’t as truthful about when their relationship broke off. Here’s the scoop.

How Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell met

Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell met at a party in the early 1990s. Jeffrey Epstein owned his own investment firm and represented rich, powerful clients like Les Wexner, former CEO of L Brands. Ghislaine Maxwell was the youngest daughter of media mogul Robert Maxwell.

Ghislaine Maxwell lived in New York off a trust fund after her father’s death. Maxwell was trying to acclimate to New York society, which Jeffrey Epstein helped her do. In return, she introduced Epstein to some of her contacts across the pond.

Maxwell “just as guilty as Epstein”

One of Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell’s victims was Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claimed that Maxwell wasn’t just an unwitting bystander in her abuse. Roberts Giuffre maintains that Ghislaine Maxwell groped her and sexually assaulted her at orgies.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre isn’t alone in her claims. One of Epstein’s other victims, Maria Farmer, recalled Ghislaine Maxwell groping her while she was at an artist’s residency that Jeffrey Epstein set up for her. Farmer also claims that Ghislaine Maxwell blackmailed her and had her followed when she started speaking out.

During their relationship, Virginia Roberts Giuffre claims that Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell asked her to be a surrogate for a child they planned to have together. Roberts Giuffre told them that she wanted to finish her massage certificate first.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s escape

According to the Netflix documentary Filthy Rich: The Jeffrey Epstein Story, the request that Virginia Roberts Giuffre be their surrogate was the last straw for her. She went to Thailand to finish her masseuse training but fled to Australia with a man she met. When she had a daughter of her own, she decided to speak up about her experience.

After Virginia Roberts Giuffre spoke out, Ghislaine Maxwell called her a liar, which prompted Roberts Giuffre to sue her for defamation. As part of Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial discovery, thousands of pages of deposition are available to the public about the abuse. It will also be used as evidence in Ghislaine Maxwell’s upcoming trial.

Jeffrey Epstein’s 2015 email

In response to Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s claims, Maxwell stated that since Epstein’s arrest for soliciting a minor in 2007, she was the subject of “malicious lies, slander, and innuendo.”

In an email exchange with Epstein, she told him it would help if he talked about “Shelley.” Shelley was apparently Epstein’s girlfriend from 1999 to 2002, a time where a lot of Epstein’s abuse was said to take place.

In response, Jeffrey Epstein sent Ghislaine Maxwell an email saying she “did nothing wrong” and he encouraged her to start acting like it.

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in Palm Beach

In 2016, an award-winning Canadian documentarian, Barry Avritch, noticed Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell dining together in Palm Beach. Avritch interest was piqued when he noticed how the waiters brought out their dishes without having to ask. He could tell they were powerful. He asked who the couple was and began looking into their story.

Being a documentarian, Barry Avritch was going to release a film about Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell. However, when he received a call from a retired police officer, he put the project on hold.

The officer told Barry Avritch that both Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell had the resources to “physically and financially hurt him” if he released the film. Ultimately though, Avritch stopped the project because he had a daughter at home. The stories about the abuse he heard haunted him as a father.

Will we hear more during the Ghislaine Maxwell trial?

Ghislaine Maxwell claimed in court that she hadn’t spoken to Jeffrey Epstein in a decade, since his conviction and prison sentence. Seeing them together, plus the email conversation, could be more evidence of perjury. Maxwell already had two counts of perjury against her that she’s awaiting trial for.

While these statements alone won’t guarantee a conviction in a court of law, they paint a picture of untruthfulness that won’t serve Ghislaine Maxwell when she has her day in court.

  • Memories get misplaced inside the mind over the course of many years, but if a person begins the process of taking those time periods out of the filed boxes inside the brain, those misplaced memories will be retrieved. In sum: maybe she just forgot until something jarred her memory and she remembered. It doesn’t mean she was being dishonest.
