Who’s returning to ‘Lucifer’ season 6? Should fans of the show rejoice or groan?
Season 6 of the Lucifer show is creeping up on us and we couldn’t be more excited. A lot of fans have been curious about when Season 6 of the Lucifer show will actually premiere and it’s looking like we’ll get new episodes around the end of 2021. The storylines to follow in the Lucifer show are so connected to traditional biblical stories yet they also seem to somehow add the most intriguing twists & turns.
Since the sixth season is going to be the final season, there’s a lot in store for us to get hyped for. Here’s what we know so far about the Lucifer show’s season 6 cast members. Who’s returning . . . and who’s gone for good?
Tom Ellis
For a while there, rumors are swirling about Tom Ellis leaving Lucifer before season 6 of the show. It was widely speculated that Ian Somerhalder, the actor who famously played the role of Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, was going to be taking over in the leading role. Ellis was quick to address the rumors when it became public knowledge that he was indeed signed into a season 6 contract.
One of the showrunners, Ildy Modrovich, poked fun at the rumors by retweeting a hilarious meme that compared Ellis to Somerhalder. Although Somerhalder’s an incredible actor who did an amazing job playing the role of a vampire alongside Nina Dobrev it doesn’t mean that he should be swooping in to take over as the devil himself. Ellis is definitely the perfect person to maintain the role of Lucifer in season six.
Lauren German
Lauren German is the beautiful actress who plays the role of Chloe in Lucifer. As Lucifer’s main love interest, of course, we have to have her back in season 6! The character of Chloe is a resigned LAPD officer who starts working as Lucifer’s consultant before falling in love with him, dying, and suddenly coming back to life. The highs & lows of their romance have been so much fun to follow.
It’s going to be so much fun to continue following their relationship into the sixth season of the Lucifer show. German’s portrayal of Chloe is incredible because the character’s so dynamic in her pursuit of justice, true love, and maintaining a pure heart.
Kevin Alejandro
Kevin Alejandro plays the role of Dan Espinoza in the Lucifer show. Anyone who’s seen the end of season 5 might have questions about if we’re going to see any more Dan in the future. Seeing Dan pass away was unfortunate but it doesn’t mean it’s going to be the last of his character.
According to Alejandra, Dan will most certainly be coming back. He said, “It could be flashbacks, it could be through trying to decide what’s going on. I was on set a little bit in Season 6 so he’s coming back . . . I’m just not the way everyone thinks he’s coming back.”
He added, “I would describe Season 6 as a genuine homage to what we’ve created from the beginning. There are throwbacks and clues to other episodes that only if you followed our journey from the beginning you’ll pick up on.” We couldn’t be more thrilled to see what he’s describing.
Who else is returning?
Other cast members who we’ll see in season 6 of Lucifer include Rachel Harris who plays Linda Martin, Amy Garcia who plays Ella Lopez, and Scarlett Estevez who plays Trixie Espinoza. We’re also going to see DB Woodside come back as Amenadiel for sure. This season is going to bring a lot of closure with ten episodes that include a major potential plot twist.
