Missing ‘Boys Over Flowers’? Get to know the cast of the Thailand remake
The acclaimed & popular Boys Over Flowers has been remade many times over the years and fans will be treated with another rendition, this time from Thailand. Boys Over Flowers was originally a Japanese manga before its South Korean adaptation. The Thai version will be called F4 Thailand and is set to be released in 2021.
The cast of F4 Thailand was finally announced in September along with a trailer to tease the new series. Want to know who’s playing your favorite roles? Here’s a rundown of who’s playing who in the newest version of Boys Over Flowers.

What we know about F4 Thailand
Director Patha Thongpan will be helming the new adaptation of Boys Over Flowers, which will premiere on Thailand’s GMMTV. For those who are new to the series, the story is about a teenage girl who meets the four members of F4, a group of four wealthy & popular teenage boys. As she gets to know F4, she gets involved in a love triangle between two best friends.
While the series was announced in 2019, the trailer wasn’t released until September 2020. The trailer has garnered over 2 million views on Twitter and fans are already clamoring to see more.
According to Sanook, GMMTV’s managing director, Sataporn Panichraksapong, said he pushed to adapt the internationally famous series because he appreciated the social issues covered in Boys Over Flowers. Director Patha Thongpan also revealed, in contrast to other adaptations, F4 Thailand will specifically focus on the topic of bullying.

Tu Tontawan
Originally played by Ku Hye Sun in South Korea’s Boys Over Flowers, newcomer Tu Tontawan will be playing F4 Thailand’s protagonist, Gorya. Though she goes by Tu, her full name is Tontawan Tantivejakul.
Tu’s a dental student, but this promising nineteen-year-old seems to be having a budding acting career by starting in this highly anticipated series. Fun fact for the K-pop fans: according to Tu’s Instagram, she’s a huge fan of EXO, and particularly stans EXO’s rapper, Sehun.

Bright Vachirawit
Tu’s counterpart will be played by Vachirawit Chivaaree. The actor has been in the industry since he was fifteen years old and goes by Bright Vachiravit. In the show, Bright will be playing Thyme, the leader of F4. Bright is of Thai & American descent and is a bilingual speaker, as he can speak in English & Thai.
Bright is currently studying marketing at Bangkok University, but he recently gained notoriety for his role as Sarawat in 2gether: The Series and Still 2gether. He primarily works in television, but starred in one movie called Love Say Hey in 2016 and a number of music videos.

Dew Jirawat
Dew Jirawat will be playing Thyme’s best friend, Ren, in F4 Thailand. Like Tu, Dew is a new actor and currently studies at Saint Gabriel’s College in Bangkok, according to Cosmopolitan. Though he goes by Dew, his full name is Jirawat Sutivanisak. Prior to starting his acting career, Dew has had an established modeling career in Thailand and frequently shows off his skills on his Instagram.

Win Metawin
Like Bright Vachiravit, F4 Thailand isn’t Win Metawin’s first acting role. It’s actually his second role, as he co-starred with Bright Vachiravit in 2gether and Still2gether. Bright & Win were actually each other’s love interests in the two series. In F4 Thailand, Win will be playing Kavin, another member of the F4 group.
Win’s full name is Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, but his stage name is Win. The twenty-one-year-old is currently studying economics at Thammasat University, and already has a big following with over 4 million followers on Instagram. According to Cosmopolitan, before entering the acting world, Win was an exchange student in Iowa and speaks fluent English.

Nani Hirunkit
The last member of the F4 group will be played by newcomer Hirunkit Changkham, who goes by the nickname Nani. Nani will be playing M.J., who seems to be the equivalent of Kim Joon’s role in Boys Over Flowers. F4 Thailand is his acting debut, but it doesn’t look to be Nani’s last role, as he recently signed with GMMTV. Like his co-stars, Nani is still a student and studies at Rangsit University.
