Demi Lovato has had a prominent career spanning way back to her days on 'Barney & Friends'. Uncover the massive net worth of this musician & actress.

What’s Demi Lovato’s net worth? Did Disney make them a millionaire?

As of 2021, Demi Lovato has a net worth of about $40 million. Lovato is a twenty-nine-year-old singer-songwriter who got their start as an actor on Barney & Friends alongside Selena Gomez. Like Gomez, Lovato became well-known due to their roles on Disney Channel original movies & shows. During their time as a Disney Channel star, they released two pop rock albums, Don’t Forget (2008) and Here We Go Again (2009).

After moving beyond their Disney phase, Lovato released five more studio albums that incorporated more of an R&B pop sound. They also served as a judge on The X Factor, and have authorized multiple documentaries detailing their life & struggle with addiction & eating disorders. Let’s take a look at how they’ve amassed their $40 million net worth, shall we?

Movie & TV roles

In 2007, Demi Lovato starred as Charlotte Adams in the Disney Channel series As the Bell Rings. The same year, they were cast as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock, and Sonny in the Disney Channel comedy series Sonny With a Chance. In 2009, Lovato starred alongside Selena Gomez in the Disney Channel original movie Princess Protection Program

The following year, Lovato guest-starred on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. Later that year, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam was released on Disney Channel. After this, they took a break from acting.

However, Demi Lovato returned to television when they joined the judging panel for The X Factor. They officially returned to acting with a guest role on Glee, playing the love interest of Santana Lopez.

Recently, Demi Lovato has been dipping their toe into acting roles once again. They had a small role in the Netflix original movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, and then a recurring role on Will & Grace.

Music career

Much of Lovato’s net worth comes from their music career. Demi Lovato released their debut album in 2008. Don’t Forget was loved by their young fanbase for its pop rock sound. The following year they released Here We Go Again, which followed the natural progression of the sound on their previous album with more pop rock, Disney-fied songs. Here We Go Again was Lovato’s first album to reach number one.

In 2011, Lovato released their third studio album, Unbroken. Their third album marked a sonic shift from their previous two releases. Unbroken featured a more R&B-influenced pop sound. The lyrics on some songs were notably much more personal; Lovato had spoken publicly about their struggles with eating disorders & addiction, and that was reflected in songs like “Skyscraper”.

In 2013, Lovato released Demi, their fourth studio album. The record is filled with fluffy, synth-driven pop songs and was markedly a more upbeat and fun project than they’d done in the past. In 2015, they released Confident, their most critically lauded album yet. The album was followed by Tell Me You Love Me in 2016. Their sixth album incorporated more R&B into their sound.

In 2018, Lovato suffered from a very serious overdose that left them hospitalized. They had been open about their drug & alcohol addictions for years, and this overdose came after a relapse. Demi Lovato has since recovered, and earlier this year released their seventh studio album Dancing with the Devil. . . The Art of Starting Over. Many of the lyrics on the album allude to their relapse & overdose.

Endorsements & partnerships

Demi Lovato embarked on a tour with Nick Jonas, which they partnered with Tidal to promote. They’re also known for their endorsement deal with Fabletics, a line of exercise clothing that they often promote on their Instagram.
