Will Gabby Petito’s autopsy unmask her killer?
The Wyoming medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Gabby Petito announced today that the twenty-two year old’s death, whose body was found near Grand Teton National Park last month, was caused by strangulation and that the manner of death was by homicide. Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue made the announcement during a virtual news conference to which many were watching.
“After a detailed investigation by our forensic pathologist, our anthropologist, and local law enforcement with assistance from the FBI, the Teton County Coroner’s Office is filing the following verdict,” he began to say before unveiling the results of the autopsy. “In the matter of the death of Gabrielle Venora Petito, we find the cause to be death by strangulation and manner is homicide.”
Now that we know that Petito’s death was in fact death by homicide, a cause which much of the world had already assumed, it only heightens the need to find boyfriend and suspected killer Brian Laundrie, whose body, via autopsy results, was predicted to have already been dead for three to four weeks before her body was actually found. It’s a sad, disgusting time for Gabby Petito’s family, and hopefully, justice will be soon served.
Gabby Petito homicide
It’s been over a month since twenty-two year old Gabby Petito was first reported missing, only to tragically be found dead weeks after. The primary suspect is that of her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who was famously seen during a shared police interaction when both he and Gabby Petito were pulled over after a concerned citizen saw the pair fighting and made the emergency call.
The caller reported to the police that they had seen Laundire slap Petitio, forcing the police to investigate the situation for themselves, recording every second of it via body cams. In the video, we see and hear the police address the visual physical damage to both Petitio and Laundrie, with Petitio crying and clearly in some sort of distress. Sadly, the police failed to see the warning signs and allowed the couple to leave in peace.
Petito’s body was found shortly after the incident on September 21st, 2021, with it being confirmed as Petito’s body a few days later. Now, with Brian Laundrie as the primary suspect, a nationwide manhunt was officially launched in Florida, where Laundrie is believed to still be as the media keeps tabs on his family’s home, thanks to family’s neighbors who’ve charged the media to park and report from their front lawns.
Brian Laundrie
Nearly a month of searching for Brian Laundrie, and still police in Florida say there are no signs of the missing boyfriend. The search is centered at the Carlton Nature Reserve near his home in North Port, where Laundrie’s parents believe he went before disappearing. As the search for Gabby Petito’s fiancé approaches its fourth week, no police activity was visible Friday at the 25,000-acre nature reserve. Damn.
New details emerged about the period after Laundrie returned home from a cross-country trip in Petito’s white van, without Petito, on Sept 1st and before he left his parents’ home on Sept 13th. Petito’s family refers to Laundrie as the “missing piece to the puzzle” regarding what really happened to their daughter, while Laundrie’s family are just hoping that their son is still alive.
Many close to the case have claimed that, if Brian Laundrie is truly hiding in this nature reserve, that he’s surviving “hell on earth”, given the dangerous wildlife that lurks amongst those acres. Equally, Laundrie’s case became so global that even former reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter joined the search, even recently finding a campsite that he believes to have been Laundrie’s.
