Inside the island: Jeffrey Epstein’s creepy kinks revealed
Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, sits at the center of long-standing allegations of abuse and trafficking. Court records and victim accounts have repeatedly placed the island in the narrative of how Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell operated. The latest document releases continue to surface details about the properties, the décor, and the specific requests victims described.
Virginia Giuffre’s accounts remain central. Her earlier memoir, The Billionaire’s Playboy Club, and her 2025 posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, both align with details that later appeared in court filings tied to Maxwell’s case. Maxwell was convicted in December 2021 on five felony counts, including sex trafficking conspiracy, and is serving a twenty-year sentence. Ongoing document releases in late 2025 and early 2026 have added photographs, videos, and further references that touch on island activities.
The Island as Primary Site
Multiple victims described abuse occurring on Little St. James. The island includes a main residence, several guest villas, and distinctive structures Epstein added during his ownership. Court materials and survivor statements tie specific incidents to these buildings and grounds rather than solely to his mainland homes.
Island Renovation Plans
Files released in 2026 outline 2018 architectural plans for the islands. The proposals included a “ladies’ residence,” an isolated master suite, a cinema, a feature labeled “funhouse point,” and additional guest pavilions. The architecture firm hired for the project was terminated in June 2018 before any work began.
Current Status of Little St. James
The islands sold in 2023 for sixty million dollars to Stephen Deckoff and SD Investments. Early plans called for a luxury resort with a possible 2025 opening. As of early 2026 only an incomplete permit application for an 8,800-square-foot warehouse has been filed, and resort development remains stalled.
Recent Document Releases and Island Evidence
In December 2025 the House Oversight Committee released ten photographs and four videos showing interior rooms of the island residence. January 2026 DOJ Epstein file releases included additional documents referencing activities on Little St. James. These materials provide visual context for earlier descriptions of décor and layout.
Pink sheets
Virginia Giuffre stated that Epstein preferred pink bed sheets because the color reminded him of female genitalia. She also described an instance in which Epstein hid her under the pink sheets when attorney Alan Dershowitz entered the room unannounced. Dershowitz has continued to deny any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
Naked women portraits
Former staff reported that Epstein’s properties featured large portraits of nude women. One former IT employee described a sizable portrait at the New Mexico ranch showing Maxwell with her legs open. The level of detail in the portrait, according to the employee, suggested Maxwell had posed for it.
Sex toys
Former butler Juan Alessi reported finding double-ended dildos and shiny black costumes in the Florida residence. He stated that he collected the items with gloves for cleaning. Giuffre has said Epstein and Maxwell kept latex outfits for the girls they abused and that Maxwell favored schoolgirl outfits in some instances.
Sadomasochism
Court filings include an Amazon receipt for books titled SM 101: A Realistic Introduction, SlaveCraft: Roadmaps for Erotic Servitude, and Training With Miss Abernathy: A Workbook for Erotic Slaves and Their Owners. Giuffre has described Epstein’s interest in role-playing and bondage during the abuse of minors. The presence of the books and the items recovered by staff align with those accounts.
Epstein’s requests
Shawna Rivera, who was fourteen when she met Epstein, recalled being told to pinch his nipples during a massage. Johanna Sjoberg stated that Epstein expected three orgasms a day and that she faced consequences when she failed to meet that expectation during the massages she was required to perform.
Epstein’s type
Giuffre described being asked to recruit other girls. She said Epstein sought white girls or “exotic” girls if they were non-white, and he preferred those with outgoing personalities. Some girls were brought in by Maxwell; others were recruited by victims already inside the operation. This recruitment structure allowed the network to expand steadily. Reports now place the number of identified survivors above one hundred, with authorities estimating the broader pool of potential victims in the thousands across multiple investigations.
