Predestination (2014)

Fans of unexpected movie plot twists should definitely check out Predestination. The movie’s based on Robert A. Heinlein’s 1959 short story titled All You Zombies and, just as Tenet, Predestination revolves around time travel.

Starring talented actors like Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook, and Noah Taylor, Predestination is an intricately woven together film with themes that touch upon one’s identity & determination. The Australian sci-fi thriller is available to watch for free on Crackle.

Extraction (2020)

For those who loved Tenet’s brilliant cinematography and entertaining action takes, Extraction might be worth your time. Particularly, Extraction’s one-shot takes are definitely something to look forward to!

Extraction is about “a black-market mercenary who has nothing to lose [and] is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord”.

The Chris Hemsworth-starrer premiered directly on Netflix last year without ever seeing the big screen and yet, Extraction became one of the most successful originals Netflix had ever put out.

Inception (2010)

Another Christopher Nolan-directed filmInception, just like Tenet, can’t be missed if you’re a fan of the large scale, suspenseful mind-fudgery. Released more than ten years ago, Inception introduced us to the intricacy of wit, suspense, and time travel mashed together.

Acclaimed as Nolan’s masterpiece, Inception is slower in pace than Tenet but more complex in plot. Starring A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio, the movie revolves around a thief with the rare ability to enter people’s dreams and steal their secrets from their subconscious – that’s just the beginning of the film.

Check out Inception on Amazon Prime Video to learn about the pop culture phenomenon the film turned out to be!

Spectre (2015)

Daniel Craig’s fourth James Bond adventure, Spectre, was a darker look at the superspy and some of his infamous antagonists.

With a skilled military operative relentlessly on the trail of a mysterious organization that’s hellbent on global domination, the one-dimensional plot alone draws parallels between Spectre & Tenet.

Teaming up with Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, Spectre includes excellent cinematography, typical 007 high-tech gadgets, and top-notch action sequences. Spectre is available to rent on YouTube Premium for $3.99.

Inside Man (2006)

Starring the iconic Denzel Washington as the dashing detective, Inside Man is an interesting, keep-you-guessing-till-the-end tale of outsmarting a cunning bank robber who seems to be driven primarily by perfectionism rather than a lust for money.

Inside Man is an American heist film and although that might sound wholly different from Tenet the similarity between both the movies exists in the thrilling, on-edge plot twists and we’re certain all existing brain cells would be put to use during this clever two-hour ride.

Directed by Spike Lee, the talented cast along with the suspenseful premise of Inside Man is bound to entertain Tenet fans. The crime thriller is available to watch for free of cost on NBC’s Peacock.
