Jeff Goldblum joins ‘Search Party’ cast: Will season 5 be worth the binge?
As if the cast of Search Party couldn’t get any more perfect, it has just been confirmed that actor Jeff Goldblum is also joining season five of the popular HBO Max TV series. The actor is coming into the show as a recurring role, and his character so far sounds like it’s going to be quite interesting to the rest of the plot of Search Party. Ready for season five?
It’s exciting news for fans everywhere now that icon Jeff Goldblum has joined the Search Party cast, but what is his new character going to be all about? According to Variety, the actor will be coming into the HBO Max beloved TV show “in a recurring role as Tunnel Quinn, a charismatic tech billionaire who enters a very public business partnership with Dory (Alia Shawkat) on the other side of her near death experience”.
Variety also added that “Dory folds her old friends Portia (Meredith Hagner), Elliott (John Early) and Drew (John Reynolds) into the venture as they embark on an altruistic but terrifying journey”. Sounds absolutely exciting! As for Jeff Goldblum joining the Search Party cast, the actor himself expressed his own sentiments as well as spoke out on how excited he was to be a part of the team.
When speaking on his new role in the Search Party cast, Jeff Goldblum remarked: “Search Party is such a brilliant show. What a thrill and a privilege it is to get to be a little part of it! I respect and adore everyone involved with this magical entertainment”. It sounds like Jeff Goldblum was already a huge fan of Search Party even before getting this job, so this surely must be exciting news for the legendary actor!

This certainly won’t be the first time Jeff Goldblum has used his acting chops in the television industry, as the star had previously received an Emmy nomination for his character in the TV show Will & Grace. Additionally, the actor also currently is the host of the Disney Plus-National Geographic show The World According to Jeff Goldblum, and he also earned himself an Emmy nomination for that as well!
However, of course, we all probably first knew the actor for the work that he has done in films. Jeff Goldblum has starred in a variety of classic movies such as numerous films from indie-auteur Wes Anderson such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, all the way to blockbuster hits such as the Jurassic Park franchise, and tons more. However, being a star in front of the cameras isn’t the only thing Jeff Goldblum excels at.
Just a few years ago, Jeff Goldblum decided to go beyond media work and explore his musical side as well. On November 9th, 2018, the star released his debut jazz album titled Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra The Capitol Studios Sessions by Universal’s Decca Records and The Verve Label Group. He eventually released a second album on November 1st, 2019 titled I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This.
Both of his jazz albums topped the Billboard’s jazz charts upon their release. However, while he surely makes excellent music, we’re as excited as ever to see him back in the media world in season five of Search Party. The HBO Max show had just announced that it was renewed for another season back in February, so we still have some time before the new season comes, but we truly can’t wait to see it.
