Not every car owner can be trusted: The worst Tesla modifications

Nothing grinds Tesla fanatics’ gears quite like bad modifications. You can be the calmest Tesla fan on Earth who just glides through life, sipping green tea and minding your business without a care in the world until you come across someone who has crudely modified master Elon Musk’s creation and your whole day is ruined. What a bummer!

So, to make all Tesla fans’ day even worse, here are some Tesla modifications that make the automobile stand out from the crowd . . . for all the wrong reasons.

No Tesla deserves this!

Tesla Model X is famous for one of the most extraordinary aesthetical characteristics of any Tesla car, its specially designed double hinged doors – the falcon-wings. But this Tesla owner slaughtered the aesthetic of their Tesla Model X, with what we can only hope is a bad sticker-bombing job. We speak for all Tesla fanatics when we say: unless used as a joke or a clever pun, please don’t sticker bomb your Tesla.

The unfortunate Tesla

Think about blowing huge amounts of cash on Tesla modifications, only to ruin your roadster and end up with an ugly & stodgy car. Do you feel shivers down your spine? After seeing this Tesla modification, we got the chills too. Vinyl wraps can be an affordable alternative to a full-on paint job, but sometimes (or most of the time) they look absolutely shoddy.

Pink Tesla

How do you make a Tesla Model X worse? Color it pink!

For reasons unbeknownst to us, Addison Rae, a famous TikTok star & Kardashian friend, decided to paint her Tesla Model X in an atrocious powdery pink shade.

Blinding Tesla

Don’t look directly at this chrome-wrapped Tesla, it might blind you. While some prefer the subtle look of a matte finish, this Tesla owner decided to go in the opposite direction with a chrome coat.

Tesla hearse

If you’ve ever thought about trading the sleek look of Tesla for a more funeral aesthetic, here’s your answer. German coachbuilder Binz International, together with UK companies Coleman Milne & Woodall Nicholson, converted a Tesla Model S into a hearse.

Tesla meets Truckla

YouTuber Simone Giertz, who is known as the queen of “shitty robots”, was seemingly impatient for the arrival of Tesla’s pickup truck, so she took matters into her own hands and heavily modified her roadster.

She turned her otherwise pristine Red Metallic Tesla Model 3 into an electric pickup truck that she fondly refers to as Truckla. We doubt Truckla is the most efficient pickup truck out there, but hey, at least Simon Giertz’s video of transforming her Tesla made her a viral sensation.

Tesla-sized toy car

If only we all had the means to finance the dream car we wanted as a child! This Tesla Model S was modified to look like a popular mascot, Shimajiro, from a Japanese educational TV show for preschool children.

Even though it’s one of a kind Tesla modification, it’s at least being used for educational purposes. Plus, we have to agree that in comparison to the rest of the mods that made our list, this is by far the cutest one.

Gaudy interiors

The closer you look, the worse it gets. This Tesla owner annihilated the sleek & clean appearance of Tesla’s interiors by covering it with ugly crocodile & snakeskin inspired leather. Because nothing says aesthetically pleasing like reptile skins. This nightmarish atrocity will certainly go down in history as truly one of the ugliest Tesla modifications.

What do you think of these Tesla modifications? If you had the opportunity to modify your Tesla, what option will you go for? Let us know in the comments.

  • What do I think? Well, since you asked: I don’t think it’s any of anybody’s damn business what somebody does with a car that they paid for. Yes, you certainly have freedom of speech. But there’s this thing that just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Mind your own business.
