Is ‘Roblox’ the key to saving Twitter’s relevance?

Elon Musk’s ambitious plans for Twitter have been making headlines over the past few months, and for good reason. Since Musk took over the company, thousands of employees have been let go, the headquarters have been renamed, and there have been several changes made to the policies governing the platform. 

Nevertheless, in spite of all of his hard work, there are persistent rumors that Twitter may not be able to thrive with Musk at the helm. Roblox, an online video game, has been suggested by a number of industry analysts as a possible source of inspiration for a solution to Twitter’s problems.

What are the reasons for rumors like this? Let’s take a deeper look at the facts. 

The game

Roblox is a massively multiplayer online game in which players have the ability to create their own experiences and games. The number of people who use the platform on a daily basis rose by 28% year on year to 55.1 million in February 2022, indicating that the platform has experienced tremendous growth in recent years.

 The stock of the company has also been performing very well, and 76 different analysts have set a target price of $52.78 as the median for the stock.

But why should someone use Twitter if they play on Roblox? Roblox is being cited as a possible answer to the problems that Twitter is currently facing by a number of industry analysts. Roblox, with its enormous user base and cutting-edge platform, may be able to assist Twitter in reaching new audiences and broadening its product offerings beyond social media.
