The lawsuit against Prince Andrew has had an interesting development recently. Don’t worry, we’re here to report on the latest news about this controversial royal figure.

What exactly is going on with Queen Elizabeth’s son? Let’s unveil the facts about Prince Andrew’s dubious past and how the recent lawsuit against the Duke of York is unraveling. Will Prince Andrew ever have to serve jail time?

Prince Andrew & Jeffery Epstein

Jeffery Epstein & the prince met via socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. They hit it off and began socializing, spending plenty of time together. Epstein also had a financial relationship with the prince, according to the Telegraph. This all came to light in 2019, when the truth about Epstein and his sex trafficking crimes were being revealed.

Prince Andrew’s association with Epstein already sealed his fate, but then, he had a television interview that went . . . well, badly. Very, very badly, as it turned the populace against him. In fact, after the interview aired, it was announced that he asked to step away from royal duties. Yikes.

Clearly, things already aren’t great for Queen Elizabeth’s son. However, just this year, things went worse for Prince Andrew.

The lawsuit

On September 20th, 2021, Virginia Giuffre (who is also known as Virginia Roberts, and has been called as such in some articles) served Prince Andrew with a civil lawsuit, claiming not only was she the victim of multiple acts of abuse by the prince, but she was also forced to sleep with him as an underage girl, at a place that belonged to a friend of Jeffery Epstein.

The prince’s lawyers called Giuffre’s accusations “baseless”, and they told The Daily Mail they planned to fight the lawsuit. On the other hand, though the lawsuit did have some “service issues”, Guifffre’s lawyers told the press they were confident this would be taken to court.

There have been some startling developments to the case. Let’s go over them one by one and see where Queen Elizabeth’s son stands, shall we?

A possible witness?

First, an employee of Jeffery Epstein is stepping up to testify. Steve Scully said he’s ready to say under oath that he saw Prince Andrew sexually assault Virginia Giuffre when she was seventeen “between 2001 and 2004”.  He said the following to The Sun:

“If Virginia’s lawyers call, I will definitely speak to them and I would give a deposition under oath telling them what I saw. The nice thing about the truth is that it doesn’t change! There’s no question in my mind that I saw Prince Andrew & Virginia together and no question that he would remember the incident either. He should come clean.”

Seeing the settlement

This next piece of news is from Prince Andrew’s side of the case. He’s gained the right to see a 2009 settlement of Jeffery Epstein’s, in the hopes it will be able to get him out of this case. This settlement is an agreement Epstein reached with Giuffre, and the prince’s lawyers believe it “absolves our client from any and all liability”.

We’ll see if it really does, though. In any case, Queen Elizabeth’s son must respond to the lawsuit by the end of October, and the court date is scheduled for the end of November.

This brings us to the last and biggest development of the entire case.

The most shocking news of all . . .

The U.K. police have dropped their investigation of Prince Andrew’s activities concerning Jeffery Epstein. Their review of him was caused by Giuffre’s lawsuit, but the Metropolitan Police Services stated they will take “no further action” against Queen Elizabeth’s son.

Considering the weight & magnitude of the case, this is shocking news. Additionally, it’s quite a sad development, considering the Police Commissioner told LBC “no one is above the law” when asked about the allegations against the prince. Apparently, he’s above them in this case.

A source near Prince Andrew stated the following, according to CNN: “Despite pressure from the media & claims of new evidence, the Met have concluded that the claims are not sufficient to warrant any further investigation. The Duke has always vigorously maintained his innocence and continues to do so.”

Those are the new developments against Prince Andrew. He could still go to jail once all of this is through. Yet, we’ll have to wait and see what happens. What do you think of these allegations? Is Prince Andrew heading to jail? Let us know in the comments.
