‘Punky Brewster’ and ‘Saved by the Bell’? The reboot might crossover

With the reboot for both Saved by the Bell & Punky Brewster already launched on the streaming service Peacock, does this signal an epic crossover event between the two shows in the foreseeable future for all the nostalgic fans? Apparently, Soleil Moon Frye is totally on board with this idea. Find out what the chances are like for this potential crossover between the two shows here.

How likely is the chance of this crossover?

Since the reboot for both Punky Brewster & Saved by the Bell are already available at Peacock with plans to continue to more seasons, many fans & critics alike believe this potential crossover can actually turn into a reality – and Soleil Moon Frye agrees. The Punky Brewster star is not only fully on board with this idea, but she’s already had her own personal idea in the works.

When speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Soleil Moon Frye was reminded of her role on “Screech’s Spaghetti Sauce”, the season 4 episode of Saved by the Bell: “Now, you were good friends with Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and you previously appeared on Saved by the Bell, and now there’s a Saved By the Bell revival and a Punky Brewster revival, and everything’s on Peacock, and everything should be kosher”.

She was then asked the ultimate question fans were all waiting for: “Could we see any crossover action?” In response, the star was eager to share that she was totally down to see that happening. Soleil Moon Frye answered: “That’s what I’m saying. I’m like, oh my goodness. Like first of all, Mark-Paul is one of my childhood amazing friends whom I love so much. Mario Lopez is one of my childhood friends”.

The actress continued: “I’m like, we all– Elizabeth Berkley, literally, we text back and forth. I’m like, there just has to be a crossover. I mean, I could totally see it. I’m just saying, you know, there’s a lot of ideas I have here. What about a Punky Brewster/ Saved by the Bell very special musical kind of thing? How could that be?”

You hear that, Peacock? Clearly, this is not just what all the nostalgic fans want, but also what the stars themselves from the shows all need. Take some notes and give the people what they’re asking for, Peacock.

Really? A potential musical?

Would a musical really be a great idea? Obviously, this could just be for jokes so this can be taken with a grain of salt, but let’s speculate if this could really be a possibility one day. Soleil Moon Frye did admit in the interview that she was not much of a singer. However, the ten episode return of Punky Brewster on Peacock did prove that she had a few skills in the dancing department. Besides – let’s not forget that autotune also exists.

Entertainment Weekly even already planned out how they’d envision this potential Punky Brewster/Saved by the Bell reboot crossover happening, and it sounds pretty interesting. The publication wrote: “Picture this: Zack Attack reunites for an official farewell tour but they need a guitarist, so they hire Punky’s ex-husband Travis Luna (Freddie Prinze Jr.)”.

“In this future season, Punky and Travis are back together and they decide to take the whole family on tour so he’s not absent in their lives like he was before while on the road”, Entertainment Weekly added. Peacock executives, we really hope you’re listening.
