Here’s our ranking of the ten best (and messiest) girls trip movies ever made that should serve as the perfect chaser for Netflix's 'Ibiza'.

Spring break forever! The messiest girl trip movies ever

We love a good girls trip and from the looks of things, so does Netflix. Last year girls-trip comedy Ibiza dropped on the streaming service. Starring Gillian Jacobs (Community), Phoebe Robinson (I Love Dick), and Vanessa Bayer (Trainwreck) as three best friends on a messy trip to Ibiza (where they subsequently decide to track down a hot DJ), the film is the perfect accompaniment for that obligatory bottle of wine and takeout pizza.

Because we know how your mind works (Ibiza made you want to binge a whole host of girls-trip movies right after it, why not get your best girls over to watch something with a similar vibe? Here’s our ranking of the ten best (and messiest) girls trip movies ever made that you should serve as the perfect chaser for Ibiza.

10. Think Like a Man Too (2014)

The sequel to the 2012 hit film sees Tim Story’s film proving that ladies can party just as hard as their male counterparts while vacationing in Las Vegas for a wedding.

Regina Hall (Scary Movie), Taraji P. Henson (Proud Mary), Meagan Good (The Unborn), and Gabrielle Union (Bring It On) are all amazing as a pack of girlfriends out for a wild time and Jenifer Lewis (Mystery Men) as the mom of the bride-to-be is particularly wonderful snooping around where she’s not wanted.

9. Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008)

One of Woody Allen’s rare films that doesn’t involve a very young woman being romanced by a much older man, Vicky Cristina Barcelona is also one of his few films not set in New York or Los Angeles. Following two Americans (Rebecca Hall and Scarlett Johansson) on a girl’s trip to Spain for the Summer, the film explores female friendship, polyamorous romance, and the incredible beauty of Barcelona.

8. Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997)

It’s a girls trip heading to a miserable reunion full of people they loathe but it’s a vacation nonetheless. One that made women across the world realize that every road trip now requires at least one pit stop at a roadside diner to order a “business woman’s special” like Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) do.

7. Bridesmaids (2011)

The Oscar-nominated movie directed by Paul Feig (Ghostbusters) and co-written by Kristen Wiig (The Skeleton Twins) highlights the hellish rituals entailed in being the best friend of a bride to be. While not all of the movie involves a trip out of town, the scenes that do highlight just how willfully sloppy ladies can get when they’re away from home with a pack of other women.

6. Morvern Callar (2002)

Lynne Ramsay’s indie drama is an absolute understated masterpiece about a young woman (Samantha Morton) dealing with her boyfriend’s suicide and using the money for his funeral to instead leave Scotland for a trip to Ibiza with her best friend. As you might imagine, the trip unearths a lot of colossal epiphanes about her grief but also about her own desires, freedom, and identity.

5. Rough Night (2017)

Boasting an all-star cast of funny women like Jillian Bell (Office Christmas Party), Zoë Kravitz (X-Men: First Class), Ilana Glazer (Broad City), and Kate McKinnon (Masterminds) alongside not especially funny but perfectly serviceable Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Infinity War), Rough Night sees a bachelorette party getting coked up and real dark when a male strippper accidentally gets murdered.

What happens in Miami, stays in Miami – even murder! (Don’t quote us on that.)

4.  Bachelorette (2012)

This is definitely an unpopular opinion but we kind of think that Leslye Headland’s movie is actually a better comedy about being bridesmaids than Bridesmaids is. Starring Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield), Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers), and Kirsten Dunst (Melancholia) as three party-hungry women failing the bride-to-be with their messy pre-wedding antics, the film offers a bawdy and heartfelt glimpse at female friendships and even growing up.

3. Girls Trip (2017)

A girls vacay comedy that thankfully doesn’t revolve around a bachelorette party, Girls Trip sees besties Ryan (Regina Hall), Sasha (Queen Latifah), Lisa (Jada Pinkett Smith), and Dina (Tiffany Haddish) getting hooked up with some mad hooch and doing some serious dancing, romancing, and fighting while on a trip in New Orleans.

2. Thelma & Louise (1991)

It isn’t a girls trip until a sexy young hustler has made love to you wearing a cowboy hat (Brad Pitt at his finest) or until you’ve killed a man trying to rape your best friend. That’s the pickle Thelma (Geena Davis) and Louise (Susan Sarandon) find themselves in while just trying to enjoy a girls trip away from their miserable lives at home.

1. Spring Breakers (2012)

Four young women (Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine) botch a robbery to pay for a much needed vacation and wind up getting arrested and bailed out by shady drug dealer Alien (James Franco). Turns out the girls trip they really needed involved neon balaclavas, Britney Spears singalongs, swimming pool threesomes, and some high stakes shootouts with the police. Spring break forever!
