Is Guzmán leaving Netflix’s TV series ‘Elite’ before season 5?
The good news is that the Elite TV series is definitely getting a fifth season. The bad news is that the character of Guzman might not be along for the ride with the rest of the cast. The first three seasons of the Elite TV series focus on three teenagers who are accustomed to a working class lifestyle trying to adjust to a private school in Spain where they’re surrounded by wealthy classmates.
One thing leads to another when cultural differences cause major clashing on campus and the murder of a student becomes the result. Guzman is a character who was especially fun to pay attention to throughout the first three seasons which has made fans question whether or not he’ll be around for season 4. It doesn’t look like he will be.
Why is Guzman leaving?
Season 4 of the Elite TV series ended with Guzman riding off into the sunset with Ander, traveling out of Las Encinas. Apparently, that’s where his storyline ends – forever. Miguel Bernardeau, the actor behind the role of Guzman took to Instagram to say, “Hey, this is Miguel Bernardeau and for those who have already watched the finale of Elite season 4, I wanted to say goodbye and send you a big hug.”
He also said, “I wanted to say thank you to all the Elite team, the production, the direction, to my castmates, those who are still here, those who aren’t, I’ll always have you in my heart and it’s been an immense pleasure working with you.” He worked with an incredible cast & crew for the first four seasons of the Elite TV series. Watching him part ways with the show is pretty heartbreaking.
Bernardeau finished his message by saying, “Thank you to Netflix for giving us this opportunity, to the creators and above all to Guzmán for teaching me that no matter who are where you are, it’s never too late to change. Goodbye” We aren’t ready to say goodbye! But it looks like this decision has fully & officially been made.
Where else can you see Miguel Bernardaeu?
The Elite TV series is not the only show where fans can lay eyes on Miguel Bernardaeu. Although he did an incredible job playing the role of Guzman, it isn’t the only trick he’s got up his sleeve. In 2017, he starred in a movie called It’s for Your Own Good about three men who are sick & tired of their daughters’ boyfriends. They devise a plan to make their girls dump the losers they’re with.
In 2018, Bernardeau also starred in a movie called Ola de Crimenes about a boy who accidentally kills his own father in an uncontrolled moment of rage. Instead of reporting him to the police, his mother does her best to try and dispose of the body.
Now that Bernardeau is done filming Elite, it’s highly possible he’ll be signing onto new TV shows & movies in new roles alongside new castmates. It’s exciting to consider what’s coming up next for him in his career as an actor.
What will the show be like without Guzman?
Even though Miguel Bernardaeu won’t be returning, the rest of the cast is still coming back to help the story continue being told. Itzan Escamilla as Samuel, Ester Expósito as Carla, and Omar Ayuso as Omar will still be written into the show. There are plenty of questions that still need to be answered once season 5 of Elite finally airs.
Will anyone discover Armando’s dead body? When will Ari & Samuel finally make things official and become a couple? Is Patrick going to try and hurt Omar while seeking out revenge? Will Cayeta be able to pursue a career in fashion? Is Benjamin going to be able to maintain his position as principal? Will Rebe’s mother ever stop dealing drugs? Even without Guzman around, there’s a lot to look forward to.
