Super Bowl 2021: The best celebrity commercials that aired

The best part of the Super Bowl, if you ask any non-sports fan, is the commercials. Every year, companies drop millions for airtime, millions more on commercials, and all they can hope is that they succeed rather than fail. Though, to be fair, sometimes the failures can be equally as memorable as the truly amazing. Does PuppyMonkeyBaby mean anything to all of you? Yeah, thought so.

So what Super Bowl commercials soared? What commercials of Super Bowl LV are among the best of the year? Things weren’t entirely slim pickings this year, even with some of the big names sitting out due to COVID. Here are some of the best commercials featuring celebs that aired during the Super Bowl in 2021.

Amazon’s Alexa commercial with Michael B Jordan

Listen, if Alexa looked like Michael B Jordan, no person who likes men would ever, ever look at another real man again. Like, come on. Amazon commercial lady, we see you. We are you.

Cheetos commercial with Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Shaggy

Husband & wife duo (plus former That 70s Show costars) Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis take center stage in this hilarious Cheetos commercial with help from Shaggy and his one hit wonder “It Wasn’t Me”. Because even when you’re caught orange fingered: deny, deny, deny.

State Farm commercial with Drake, Patrick Mahomes, Paul Rudd, and Aaron Rodgers

State Farm has found its great commercial with “Jake from State Farm”, and they aren’t budging from it. Also, surprise Paul Rudd! Everyone’s focused on Drake, but Paul Rudd just showed up as well. Drake needs to do more comedy things. He’s pretty funny.

Cadillac with Timothée Chalamet & Winona Ryder

Super Bowl commercials have fallen into bringing some updates to movies that leave us wanting that thing. Remember that ET spot? Well, now, it’s Edward Scissorhands turn as we meet his son Edgar. Ryder reprises her role as Kim Boggs from the film.

Doordash commercial with Daveed Diggs and Sesame Street

This. Is. So. Pure.

GM commercial with Will Ferrell, Kenan Thompson, and Awkwafina

Norway outpaces the US in electric cars and Will Ferrell is angry about that, okay? Honestly, the commercial is fine. But the real hilarity is coming from the fallout which has Norway pushing back at GM and Scandinavian YouTubers slapping mackerels. Yes, really.
