Actress Zenith Ander has spent her career trying new roles within the film industry. From starting as a teen actress, to joining the People Magazine Investigates series as Melissa Barthelemy, her filmography is as diverse as her roles in the web series Roommates.

Roommates is the latest project from the Scottish-Australian actress, who serves as director and writer on the show as well. Starring Ander as both Mackenzie and Tash, two roommates in Hollywood navigating their cultural differences, it gives Ander a chance to show a full range of her acting abilities.

Worlds collide in Roommates

Mackenzie is living in Hollywood with her Australian roommate Tash, as the two try to navigate their lives while fighting against the cultural differences between the two. As an Australian herself, playing both American and Australian gives Ander a chance to show both sides of her life. 

Moving up in the world

While Zenith Ander has been acting since she was a teen, it wasn’t until the last five years when she truly blew up in the film industry. Roommates and Eilidh are just some of the work Ander has done recently, but she’s more than just a web series actress. 

Ander helped write and produce the film Echo as well as starred in the lead role. Coming up in the future, Ander will also star in the short film In the Forest of Nisene Marks and the rom-com Love and Compromise

But Ander also comes from humble beginnings. While in Australia, she worked as an assistant traffic coordinator on several big Australian productions like Mad Max: Fury Road, Modern Family’s Australian episode, and Old School

Finding her way in Hollywood

Off-screen, Zenith Ander is making waves in Hollywood as well. Ander is a member of BAFTA North America, The Hollywood chapter of Australians in Film, Scottish Screenwriters, and Women in Moving Pictures. 

Ander also founded Female Film Connect, an organization designed for giving female filmmakers to connect with one another and recruit for their upcoming projects. The Facebook group has over one-thousand seven-hundred members so far. 

It’s clear Zenith Ander is no stranger to a busy schedule, as she continues to make waves in Hollywood through her hit web series and upcoming roles. We can see the bright future ahead for Zenith Ander.
