Inside Hollywood’s most anticipated storytelling summit Storytelling360

If you’ve ever dreamed of sitting in a room with the minds behind Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Legally Blonde, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, clear your calendar. On June 8th, 2025, Storytelling360 launches its inaugural “State of the Story” discussion series at the Writers Guild of America Theater in Beverly Hills—and the lineup reads like a who’s who of modern storytelling legends.

Hosted at the newly renovated WGA Theater, the full-day event features an extraordinary slate of Oscar, Emmy, and Peabody-winning storytellers ready to share their creative blueprints, career pivots, and insight into where the craft of narrative is headed next.

“Storytelling principles remain bedrock,” says producer Zack Gutin, founder of ThinkAlike Media and the visionary behind Storytelling360. “Now seemed like the right time to convene the storytelling authorities of today to discuss the State of the Story.”

The storytellers shaping our screens

The initial speaker list is a dream for cinephiles and creators alike:

Eric Roth (Dune, Forrest Gump) – Academy Award-winning screenwriter.

Jon Hurwitz – Co-creator of Cobra Kai, the beloved reboot that proved sequels can punch above their weight.

Kiwi Smith – The force behind genre-defining teen hits like Legally Blonde and 10 Things I Hate About You.

Dan Goor – The 2x Emmy-winning producer who helped shape the voice of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Rec, and The Office.

Unveil what lies ahead

Panels will be moderated by Backstory Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jeff Goldsmith, host of the long-running Q&A Podcast, with more moderators and surprise guests expected to be announced—including a Keynote Conversation that promises to steal the show.

“People have always been storytellers, dating back to ancient oral traditions,” Gutin reflects. “The mediums evolve, but the human instinct to tell stories never fades.”

More than just a panel series

This isn’t your average conference. Storytelling360 is an immersive, one-day summit built for writers, producers, and creators hungry for community and conversation. With panels focused on the craft, technology, and business of storytelling, the event offers a rare look into the minds of those who shape our screens.

And it’s all for a good cause: A portion of proceeds will go to the Entertainment Community Fund, supporting industry professionals in need.
