Australian Open 2021: Are these Novak Djokovic memes a miss?
Novak Djokovic is causing another racket – again! The Serbian tennis player might be heading to the Australian Open 2021 finals, but he should definitely leave his anger far away from the court.
According to The New York Post, Novak Djokovic lost his temper at the Australian open quarterfinal on Tuesday. The top player immediately lost his composure after he hit the ball directly to the next which gave the winning point to opponent Alexander Zverev in their third set.
Seeing red
No doubt Novak Djokovic continued to play as gracefully as always after he smashed his racket on the court. Immediately after his victory, Djokovic explained in an interview: “I kind of regained my focus after I broke that racket.”
Though the winning racket was shattered, Novak Djokovic further explained: “Things started to shift a little bit for me in a positive direction.”
As The New York Post reported, Novak Djokovic explained that he found it almost therapeutic, but he is definitely not proud of his performance. Djokovic claimed that when you’re out on the court “you go through a lot of different emotions, you go through an inner battle.”
The Serbian star confessed to the press: “I have my own demons for quite a while.” In fact this isn’t the first time Novak Djokovic has been reckless on the court. The Guardian reported that he was disqualified from the U.S. Open after “accidentally” hitting a line judge with a tennis ball.
Now Novak Djokovic is getting ready for his final Australian Open match after beating Aslan Karatsev, but fans are already creating the best memes about Djokovic’s hilarious tantum.
