‘Money Heist’ season 5: All the clues Berlin is alive

Raise your hand if you love Berlin (Pedro Alonso).

All we’re seeing is a room full of hands. Like we should, since Berlin is easily the wittiest character on Money Heist. Sure, he’s got his flaws, like being a misogynist and a bit of a prick at times, but we love him all the same. More than Arturo for sure.

Of course, our tragic hero took the bullet literally when he died back at the end of Money Heist part 2, but he came back through flashbacks in the remaining seasons. But as season 5 of Money Heist is in production, fans are hungering for some more Berlin, and realizing there’s plenty of evidence to show he didn’t die like we all thought.

As 'Money Heist' season 5 gets closer and closer to production, we're dreaming up the ways our favorite leader Berlin is able to come back to the show.

The heist on the Bank of Spain is his plan

Berlin was the one who introduced The Professor (Alvaro Morte) to the idea of robbing the Bank of Spain. The two were planning this long before they ever decided to rob the Royal Mint as well. Sure, The Professor is just referencing his brother’s plan, and using his brother’s best friend Palmero (Rodrigo de la Serna) to help carry it out.

But Berlin was never the kind of man to leave something half done. He wants to see his plans through to the end. Even his death at the end of Money Heist season 2 seemed a bit out of character, as he was always about living life to the fullest even if he was dying from a terminal illness.

Berlin, knowing that The Professor would want to enact his plan on the Bank of Spain at some point, would not give up so easily. He may be a dying man, but that doesn’t mean he has to live life like he is one. He would’ve tried to fight the police and stayed alive to follow through on his plan.

Leaving Tatiana (Diana Gomez) behind

Granted, we don’t know if the two of them remained married until his death or not, as Money Heist season 4 hasn’t touched on their relationship during the Royal Mint heist. But assuming that Berlin was still married until his “death”, he was beyond committed to Tatiana.

Sure, he had been married multiple times before her, but like he said before, five marriages means five times he believed in love. Berlin wouldn’t have brought Tatiana to the monastery and gotten her involved in the heist on the Bank of Spain if he didn’t love her.

Yet knowing he has a wife, he still sacrificed himself and didn’t even mention to The Professor while he was dying to pass on a message to her or anything. We never find out her reaction to Berlin’s death. So, what if she still has him? He could’ve survived the bullets, been taken into police custody, and she broke him out so the two could run away together.

Well stocked gear

There’s no way Berlin wasn’t wearing a bulletproof vest while he was being shot at by police. The crew would’ve definitely been well stocked in protective gear as well as weapons for their escape, so you know Berlin was wearing one as he went head to head with police.

Sadly, this does mean that Berlin was taken into police custody, and god knows what happened to him then. But it would make sense if they just held him captive and didn’t release any information on him, since the crew would just assume he was dead thanks to the shootout he had.

Trading information for freedom, Berlin was able to walk away a free man while the police were given information to capture the gang. Though knowing Berlin, he would give them fake information, tied with little slithers of truth they already knew. Now, Berlin walks away a free man, and is able to reappear in Money Heist season 5. At least we hope he can.
