Could fans finally get a ‘Teen Wolf’ movie? These theories scream “yes”

The TV show Teen Wolf premiered in 2011, classified as a supernatural drama & horror series. The super interesting TV show is based on the 1985 classic movie of the same name. Once the TV series premiered, it was immediately getting compared to other shows like Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, and Shadowhunters

Season 6 was the final season of the show and sadly, fans haven’t seen much of the characters or storyline ever since then. Is it possible that there will be a Teen Wolf movie for fans to watch soon?

How did Teen Wolf end?

The episodes of Teen Wolf focus on a high school student named Scott McCall who prefers remaining as anonymous as possible while also struggling with a deep secret he’s harboring. During a late night walk through the woods, Scott finds himself face-to-face with a wounded creature laying down on its side and he gets bitten. From that moment forward, Scott’s life is changed forever in a major way.

He doesn’t understand if he’s a human, a werewolf, or a hybrid combination of both. Taking control over the sudden urges his body is experiencing poses as a difficult challenge. Scott’s greatest fear of all is that his werewolf urges will end up consuming him by fully taking over his way of thinking.

He spends a lot of time questioning if getting bitten by that wounded creature was nothing more than a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time or a beautiful gift that can change his life in a positive way. The way the show ended leaves the door open for fans to speculate if there will be a Teen Wolf movie. The final episode shows Scott rescuing a new werewolf he’s never met before named Alec.

Scott invites Alec to join his pack and explains to him they will have to continue fighting back to protect themselves from hunters. With such an open ended ending, there’s a lot left to be explored.

Will there be a Teen Wolf movie?

The reason fans of the MTV drama believe there could potentially be a Teen Wolf movie is that some of the cast members have spoken up about reviving their roles. Tyler Posey, the leading actor in the show, tweeted, “Hey MTV I think it’s time to bring Teen Wolf back for new episodes.” Fans were instantly excited when they saw he was on board to take on his character persona again.

It’s important to note here that Posey mentioned new episodes, not exactly a Teen Wolf movie. It’s pretty obvious that he would be down to explore both options though — another brand new season of episodes or a full-length movie.

Jeff Davis, the Teen Wolf showrunner, spoke up about Teen Wolf coming to an end saying, “We didn’t want a finale that said ‘the end’. We wanted it to be an ‘and the adventure continues’ . . . I like imagining that they’re going off to continue the fight.” Fans would be able to easily see The amazing characters continue the fight if a Teen Wolf movie became a possibility.

Fan theories about a Teen Wolf movie

If a Teen Wolf movie ends up being filmed & released, there are a lot of questions & theories fans have about what subject matter would be included. For starters, fans are curious to know if Kira ever learned how to control her superpowers. Fans are always going to be wondering what Isaac is up to since he went from being an abused teenager in search of freedom, to a young man jetting off to France.

How did Derek choose his pack by the way? He kills off an alpha werewolf (who was also his uncle) and grabs onto a higher level of power & status. Fans are curious to know how he came up with his pack selection after all of that occurred. A possible Teen Wolf movie should go over the fan theory about whether Sebastian is really the first werewolf or not.

Chances are the first werewolf in existence really was Sebastian, but is there evidence that points in another direction? There’s so much to think about and consider with a possible Teen Wolf movie, and fans are keeping their fingers crossed and continually coming up with theories in the meantime.
