Get caught up before season 4 with our guide to ‘Selling Sunset’
Back when we were stuck in quarantine in the nightmarish year that was 2020, for some of us, our beloved streaming services were the only thing keeping us sane each day. Selling Sunset was one of those shows that made that horrid year at least a little more bearable, as Netflix dropped both seasons two & three only months apart. And boy, were we given a lot of much-needed entertainment.
In 2020, we got to see tons of exciting moments from the cast from Mary Fitzgerald & Romain Bonnet’s romantic wedding day as well as the sad times such as moments from Chrishell Stause’s heartbreaking divorce. Now, Selling Sunset is finally coming back, and we’re getting not just a confirmed season 4, but a season 5 as well! Let’s take a look at all the juicy details here.
All about the new seasons
We couldn’t be any more excited to hear about the upcoming season 4 and season 5 of Selling Sunset, but the cherry on top to all of this is that the cast and crew have apparently already begun filming. Yes, you heard that right. Your faves real estate agents are already back on set! Over the weekend of May 8th, the cast uploaded a few pics and vids from set to share the news that Selling Sunset was officially back in production.
Heather wrote on Instagram: “Me & my GIRLS, back like we never left 😚💖 It’s been so long since we’ve all been able to be in the office together but we’re back and SO happy to be reunited!!!” Chrishell also said:“I love when doing things I love, with people I love, can be called ‘work.’”, while Mary added: “We’re back baby! Selling Sunset Season 4 & 5 coming to you so so sooooon!!! ⭐️🎥”.
It was Mary Fitzgerald who first hinted that season 4 of Selling Sunset was coming soon and in the works. Back in January, she told The Radio Times: “I think everybody can expect to see a season four probably and hopefully in about six months. We film for probably four or five months for each season and then there’s a couple of months for editing and then you guys would probably see it in about six months”.
On March 10th, it was officially confirmed by Netflix that season 4 of Selling Sunset was officially going to be a reality, although this wasn’t much of a surprise to the world, as this show has certainly become one of the most talked about current reality TV shows.
What should we expect to see?
Mary Fitzgerald also mentioned back in January that the new season will probably bring in some brand new real estate agents since the brokerage has split and Brett Oppenheim left the agency. “My understanding is, whenever we do it, everyone is coming back. I don’t know how Davina plays into that because she did leave the group, so I’m not really sure how that’s going to work out. I haven’t spoken to her”.
“We do have a couple of new agents. We keep trying to tell production and Netflix that we want a couple of the other girls on the show because they’re really good friends of ours, so I think it would be good to have some new faces, but I don’t know what they’re going to choose”, she said.
As for the original cast though, Netflix has already confirmed that the entire cast was coming back to the mix despite all the changes that occurred since the release of season three. Christine also mentioned: “Brett has left to start his own brokerage. It may be the battle of the brokerages! I think season four is going to be the juiciest season ever”.
Chrishell also said on Good Morning Britain back in September that “We’re not all friends, we don’t all get along. But we try to. Some people have left, the brokerage has split, if the cameras picked up now, there’s a lot to pick up on”. Meanwhile though, work aside, tons of other events have happened in the stars’ personal lives that could potentially be included in season 4 of Selling Sunset.
