Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on the 19th of January, 1946, in Tennessee, which means she’ll be seventy-seven years old next year. Parton has shared that she was told that her father paid the doctor who helped deliver her with an oatmeal bag. However, it wasn’t until 1967 that her career fully flourished when she partnered with entertainer Porter Wagoner. This helped her get an RCA Records contract. Although she started with pop, her songs weren’t successful, but everything changed as soon as she started to make country music, despite it being written for Bill Phillips.
