Did you sit back and rest on your laurels when Lucifer was canceled by Fox? We didn’t, and voila! The show was picked up by Netflix and given another two seasons. Sadly, Netflix has announced the fifth season of Lucifer will be its last, and we’re still not done with the police procedural starring the devil himself.

Why is Lucifer worth saving?

There are dozens of reasons why the show following Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) as he chooses to make his way to Los Angeles to better understand humanity. Lucifer charms everyone he meets as he uses his powers of manipulation as a consultant for the police.

While the title character is clearly the star of the show, Lucifer stands out for its badass female characters, and it’s binge-worthy procedural setup. The format was perfectly suited to the streaming giant Netflix, and we’ve been heartbroken over the news that no further seasons are forthcoming.

Netflix has been extremely trigger-happy as the streaming wars continue to ramp up, and Lucifer is another unfortunate casualty. We can’t get enough of the charismatic devil and feel this show is worth fighting for.

Great! Let’s save Lucifer, what’s next?

It’s obvious that Lucifer has the best fans of all time. When the show was canceled by Fox, the #SaveLucifer campaign showed up in a big way, getting the show picked up by Netflix just one month after news that Fox was dropping the series.

Film Daily is equally passionate about Lucifer, so we had an idea. Let’s make a short film about the Lucifer fandom. We can use this film to show decision-makers how vital this TV show really is.
