Is Harry Styles officially joining this Marvel movie?

As if Harry Styles couldn’t get any dreamier, Variety has reported today that Marvel may be making a new movie with Harry Styles, sending Twitter into an absolute frenzy over the ‘Fine Line’ hitmaker’s fourth on-screen outing. 

This alleged Marvel movie with Harry Styles will cast him as Eros aka Starfox, the younger brother of Thanos who is, obviously, quite the ladies man as well as a hero in his own right, as his comic book antics have him teaming up with many familiar faces. 

Naturally, Twitter has exploded over the news of Marvel potentially making a movie with Harry Styles. Eternal-ly excited 

This jaw-dropping news came during The Eternals premiere in Los Angeles, Cal., when Variety reporter Matt Donnelly posted on social media that Styles would be joining the MCU in the near future. “Big reveal from #TheEternals premiere — Harry Styles has joined the MCU as Eros, brother of Thanos,” Donnelly wrote on Twitter. 

Donnelly’s tweet was confirmed by other event goers, who claimed that Styles made an appearance in the post credits scene of the film. Little is known about the project currently, but many have speculated that Styles could star alongside Josh Brolin, who plays Thanos in the MCU and may be making a return to the franchise. 

This isn’t Styles’s first time on the silver screen. Styles broke into acting in Dunkirk in 2017, with his other roles including  Don’t Worry, Darling with girlfriend Olivia Wilde and My Policeman opposite Emma Corrin, both having been shot this year. Now Styles is hopping into the MCU as Eros, who is a lot more than just a womanizer in the comics. 

God of love 

Eros, according to the comics, is the youngest son of  A’Lars and Sui-San as well as the younger brother to Thanos. Eros was a fun loving womanizer, contrasting power-hungry schemer Thanos for most of their lives. It wasn’t until after Thanos’s attack on Titan that left their mother dead that Eros took things more seriously. 

Still, he retained his fun loving personality as he bounced around the galaxy, falling in love with Heater Delight. Things took on a more somber turn after the death of Mar-Vell, Eros’s longtime friend. Eros then took up the mantle of Avenger, joining with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes under the new name Starfox. 

As Starfox and later back under his own name, Eros helped the Avengers against many mighty threats, including serving during the Terminus crisis and aiding Photon in the battle against Controller. Of course, Eros never really leaves behind his fun-loving ways, making him the amazing character we can’t wait to see on the big screen. 

Twitter is flipping out 

Naturally, many on Twitter are excited to hear about Styles’s casting as Eros, with many simply not believing it as others jump for joy. Reactions to this news includes:
