Kate Middleton . . . pregnant? Why there these constant rumors might actually have some credence, even if top Royal experts say otherwise.

Do these theories prove Kate Middleton is pregnant?

Aside from one surprise appearance earlier this summer at a major tennis event, many people believe that the reason why Kate Middleton has been so secretive in 2021 is that she might actually be pregnant. It is a rumor that is quickly gaining traction, despite multiple sources disclosing how this couldn’t be further from the truth. But is it that? The truth? Or could Kate Middleton really be pregnant?

Look, we get that the global pandemic has given credence to many royal absences, which is why we chose to not delve too deeply into the whole “pregnancy” rumors. However, after Kate Middleton opted to not show up to the statue launch of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana earlier this summer, it gave many pause, spurring rumors of a possible failed marriage on the rise between herself and Prince William.

However, we’ve now entered new Royal territory in the rumor mill, going from the idea of divorce to pregnancy. Are these rumors true? Did Kate Middle really not show up to Diana’s statue launch because she discovered she might’ve been pregnant, and, if so, does this explain why she has been in hiding this past year? Let’s see what we can find.

Kate skips statue launch

News dropped only weeks prior that Kate Middleton would be unable to attend the Princess Diana statue launch last July, an event to honor and commemorate what would have been her 60th anniversary had it not been for her tragic death in late 1997. It was expected that Middleton would show up to serve as a buffer between husband Prince William and his younger brother Harry, who’ve had a notable rift this past year.

While many are assuming that Middleton had skipped Princess Diana’s memorial launch due to COVID protocols, one source told Page Six how her skipping the event will be “telling on so many levels”, as well as how “Catherine’s absence speaks volumes”.

The source continued: “I think keeping the numbers down is a perfect ‘excuse’ for Catherine to stay away. William is fed up with the drama and Catherine doesn’t need to be dragged into this. They are planning a private family visit with their children, and that private moment is far more important than the public rhetoric.”

The palace confirmed that William & Harry would be joined only by Diana’s close family, the statue committee, the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley and garden designer Pip Morrison — as Camilla Tominey of the UK Telegraph also said there were concerns inside the palace that Harry would be “outflanked” if Kate Middleton & Prince William both appeared. However, could the actual reason be that she’s pregnant again?

Is Kate Middleton pregnant?

One royal commentator, Russell Myers, recently touched on the world’s rumors regarding Kate Middleton’s absence over the summer, highlighting how the theory that Kate Middleton is pregnant again might be too far of a stretch, noting how the royal could’ve just been due for a well-deserved media rest, especially now since the who media circus surrounding Prince Harry & Meghan Markle is finally settling down.

“Well, I can exclusively reveal probably nothing,” Myers told Today Australia. “I think that the Duchess isn’t pregnant, I think that some people have been asking the question of where has Kate been? The Cambridges often take the time out. There is normally an agreement between the press and the royals of if they are on holiday the kids don’t get followed around.”

He concluded: “The photographs leave them alone during the holidays, they have been up in Norfolk. They have been chilling out, they have been up to see Granny in Scotland.”

Royal reasoning

In early August, it was reported that William, Kate, and their three kids were enjoying a getaway on an island in the Cornish archipelago, the Isles of Scilly. Later the same month, reports emerged that the Cambridge family had made their annual pilgrimage north for a Scottish getaway. Apparently, the summer is considered a bit of a low time if you’re royalty, pregnant, or not.

“They always enjoy going up to Balmoral, they love the outdoors and walking in the hills and spending quality time with family,” a source told Vanity Fair’s royal editor Katie Nicholl. “It’s where William spent a lot of his childhood and it’s important to him that his children experience what he did as a young boy.” However, with some royal events coming up on the calendar, expect Kate Middleton to come out of hiding very soon.
