Grumpy Cat was seven years old when she died of urinary tract complications and her owners and fans alike are grieving. She will be sorely missed for all the joy her grumpy expression brought to our hearts. “We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat,” reported Grumpy Cat’s owner to the press.
Did you know Grumpy Cat suffered from feline dwarfism and was actually rather small? This is likely what accounted for her permanently grumpy face. Her real name wasn’t Grumpy Cat either – it was Tartar Sauce. This was arguably also a fitting name if you think of the Spongebob Squarepants euphemism often used in place of words “damn it!”
