
Focus On: Actress Jenn Rosado
From Puerto Rico to Hollywood, actress Jenn Rosado is proving her emotional journey has no boundaries.
This charismatic talent explores love, grief, and delusion starring in the upcoming psychological drama feature film, “Blindfold Butterfly,” from director Sean De La Nuez. After her husband disappears, Diana (Rosado) creates a fragile fantasy where new partners serve as stand-ins — until her reality cracks.
The role proved very personal and demanding for the actress, requiring a deep dive into mental health and identity. Rosado shares, “It was my first time portraying a character experiencing this level of emotional depth. I loved every step—especially exploring her mind and vulnerability.”
Rosado previously emerged in the acclaimed heartfelt short film “Take Care Zora,” a project created for the Dolby Institute x Ghetto Film School’s ‘Finish the Script’ competition. The story follows a teenager juggling caretaking for her brother with Down syndrome while yearning for her own independence. Rosado portrays Roberta, their mother, who is navigating love, loss, and responsibility well beyond her years.
The film premiered at New York’s AMC Lincoln Square and Los Angeles’s Academy Motion Pictures Museum, receiving audience accolades for showcasing a coming-of-age tale set in a challenging home environment. When asked about the experience, Rosado explains “Seeing this film in theaters was unforgettable. Playing a maternal role felt so intimate and close to home.”
Rosado first brought her rich cultural heritage and passion for the arts to the United States at the age of 19. She attended Florida International University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. While living in Miami, she appeared in multiple prime-time productions for Telemundo Global Studios, gaining on-screen experience and connecting with a wide audience.
With an unyielding desire to entertain, Rosado began her acting journey on stage at the Charlotte Academy in Bogota, Colombia. After appearing in numerous plays, she made the move to Mexico City to further her studies at Casa Azul, an institution renowned for its affiliation with the eminent television banner, Argos Productions.
To further hone her skills, Rosado headed to Los Angeles to study at the famed acting conservatory, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Today, Rosado continues to build a body of work grounded in heart, vulnerability, and authenticity-captivating audiences one role at a time.
