Focus On: Actress Alison Chace

Actress Alison Chace is heading to big and small screens this year.

Coming on August 15, 2025, Chace steps into the role of Donelle, a sharp-witted cartel lawyer in the Columbia Pictures and Sony Music Vision feature film “Clika.” The pic follows a small-town musician who pushes to carve out a place for himself in the new wave of Mexican-American music after a clip of him performing one of his songs goes viral. It comes from director Michael Greene and is the first film produced by veteran music company Rancho Humilde.

When asked about the role, Chace shares “Donelle can close a deal, command a room, and still have time to fix her lipstick. She’s a powerhouse.”

Chace will also emerge this year in the bilingual Netflix television crime drama series “The Gringo Hunters.” It comes from Imagine Television and The Washington Post, and stars José María Yazpik, Sebastian Roché, Harold Torres, and Mayra Hermosillo. Shot on location in Mexico City and Tijuana, it follows Mexico’s elite International Liaison Unit as they track some of the FBI’s Most Wanted fugitives.

“Filming in Mexico with director Adrián Grunberg was an incredible experience—his precision and attention to detail made every moment on set dynamic,” Chace shared about working on the show.

These two projects are just the latest additions showcasing the talented actress. Chace recurs as a reporter on the CBS hit show “Elsbeth” and recently guest-starred as Dr. Glynis Roberts on ABC police drama “The Rookie.” She has also appeared in HBO’s “Succession,” CBS’s “FBI,” Netflix’s “Seven Seconds,” NBC’s “Law & Order,” and Apple TV’s “Dear Edward.”

Chace is not only an actress. She directed the award-winning documentary “Under the Same Sky,” which earned Most Inspirational Film at Top Shorts.
