What happened to FKA twigs when she was Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend?
Shia LaBeouf’s ex-girlfriend FKA twigs, hasn’t been shy about her lawsuit against the famous actor. In fact, she even motivated Sia to address Shia LaBeouf’s toxic ways.
The recent blowout between FKA twigs & Shia LaBeouf is a bigger deal than you might’ve thought. Jezebel reported FKA twigs filed a lawsuit against The Transformers actor, accusing LaBeouf of “sexual battery, physical assault, and emotional distress” between 2018 & 2019.
According to The New York Times, Shia LaBeouf’s ex-girlfriend, FKA twigs, filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles Superior Court which states that “Mr. LaBeouf knowingly gave Ms. Barnett (FKA twigs) a sexually transmitted disease.”
FKA twigs’s claim
Jezebel reported that FKA twigs spoke her truth on the BBC Radio 4 podcast, Grounded with Louis Theroux. FKA twigs told host Louis Theroux: “I had a quota I had to meet, that would change. It was like touches or looks or kisses . . . His previous partner apparently met this number very well, so I was inadequate.”
During the BBC Radio 4 podcast, FKA twigs claimed: “I had to get the touches and the kisses correct. But never . . . knew what the number exactly was.”
FKA twigs revealed that if by any chance she didn’t meet Shia LaBeouf’s extreme quota, then: “he would start an argument with me, berate me for hours, make me feel like the worst person ever.”
FKA twigs told Louis Theroux that she would actually phone her exes and ask if she was actually as horrible as Shia Labeouf made her believe. Or was it just impossible to be Shia Labeouf’s girlfriend?
Trapped
According to Jezebel, FKA twigs felt controlled as Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend. She stated: “For me, it was being nice to a waiter or being polite to somebody that could be seen as me flirting or (wanting) to engage in some sort of relationship with somebody else when I’m literally just ordering pasta and being polite.”
FKA twigs felt extremely trapped as Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend. Jezebel reported the American singer stated: “I was told that I knew what he was like, and if I loved him I wouldn’t look men in the eye. So that was my reality for a good four months towards the end of the relationship, that I wasn’t allowed to look men in the eye.”
False accusations
As Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend, FKA twigs would be woken up and accused of a number of disturbing actions. Jezebel reported that FKA twigs said: “Accuse me of staring at the ceiling and thinking about ways to leave him, he would accuse me of masturbating . . . (accuse) me of wanting to be with somebody else – but it would be, always, I’d say between like four and seven in the morning.”
FKA twigs confessed: “For a long time, anything that woke me up in the night, even if it was just my dog, or noise outside, or just needing to go to the bathroom, it could trigger a really intense panic attack.”
Girl power
After FKA twigs spoke out about Shia LaBeouf, another one of Shia LaBeouf’s ex-girlfriends spoke out. According to Entertainment Weekly, Sia expressed: “I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single.”
The “Chandelier” singer continued, “I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him and his victims. Just know, if you love yourself – stay safe, stay away.”
As per Entertainment Weekly, Sia tweeted: “Also I love you @FKAtwigs. This is very courageous and I’m very proud of you.” Unfortunately Sia’s encouraging tweets were deleted.
Shia LaBeouf’s defense
Shia LaBeouf sent an email to The New York Times, in response to the claims his ex-girlfriend, FKA twigs made. LaBeouf stated: “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel.”
Shia LaBeouf continued: “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”
