Did the COVID pandemic boost Dr. Fauci's net worth? Prepare to fact check as we delve into whether or not it increased over 2020.

Is Dr. Fauci richer now than before COVID? See his 2020 net worth

Dr. Anthony Fauci has emerged as a key figure in the landscape of the US coronavirus pandemic response. Serving as the director of National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases & Chief Medical Advisor to every President since Reagan back in the 80s, Fauci is one of the world’s leading experts of infectious diseases. Though, he did struggle to get many of his COVID plans off the ground under former President Trump.

With a new President in office, Fauci seems ready to get everyone vaccinated. He said, in a press conference, that his goal is to have the US approaching normality by about Fall 2021 if 75-85% of people are vaccinated by Summer 2021. That is when people can hit vaccinated Herd Immunity to the coronavirus pandemic. President Biden’s administration plans to help by having 100 million people vaccinated in 100 days.

Due to his rise in profile over the course of 2020, everyone who only pays the barest attention to the news knows who Fauci is, the question remains: did the rise in profile boost his net worth? Let’s take a look.

Let’s talk about the money

No one has solid numbers on what Dr. Fauci’s net worth really is. Honestly? We’re going to have to make our best guess for it. At the National Institute of Health, Dr. Fauci made $384,000 USD after working at the National Institutes for around fourteen years, starting at a salary of approximately $200,000 USD. So, that’s a solid six-figure salary that he has there.

Different reports, however, have his earnings as being higher, due to his expertise in infectious diseases. Celebritynetworth.com believes that Dr. Fauci’s net worth is somewhere in the “low millions” from between three to 10 million USD, basically. So, you know, pretty good for a man who works in one of the highest offices of public health over the course of decades.

Dr. Fauci has one of the most impressive medical resumes out there. He graduated first from his class at Cornell Medical College, followed by an internship at New York-Presbyterial/Weill Cornell Medicine. He then went on to make some contributions to HIV/AIDS research and other immunodeficiency diseases. The man believes in research, facts, & hard truths in order for the public good.

Fauci is back in the White House

Despite the Trump administration’s less than stellar handling of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Fauci has done his best to get the pandemic response working on some level. He hopes to flourish more with the Biden administration saying at a press conference, “The idea that you can get up here and talk about what you know, what the evidence, what the science is — let the science speak.”

Fauci & the former President butted heads on how to handle the pandemic response. With the new President, however, it looks like they’re both working more in harmony in order to handle the pandemic response to the best possible ability. President Biden signed a slew of executive orders yesterday in order to handle the coronavirus pandemic with Dr. Fauci & Vice President Harris in the room.

President Biden said, “The cases will continue to mount, we didn’t get into this mess overnight, and it’s going to take months for us to turn things around. But let me be equally clear, we will get through this, we will defeat this pandemic, and to a nation waiting for action, let me be the clearest on this point: Help is on the way.” His order plans on vaccinations, mask mandates, social distancing, & school re-openings.

Hopefully, once everything is under control and back to some form of normalcy, Dr. Fauci can use some of his net worth & take a vacation. If anyone deserves it, then it’s him. Hands down.
