The claws are out: The spiciest reads from ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ so far
Is it hot in here or is the tea a-brewing? We’re only on episode 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, yet the queens are already reading each other like there’s no tomorrow. It didn’t help the mini challenge for the second episode literally had the queens giving out titles for most basic, most tasty, and most shady.
Normally, we’d wait until the end of the season to start sharing our favorite reads, but the queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK are already too feisty to ignore. After watching just the first two episodes, here are our favorite reads from the queens. Reading is fundamental to these girls.
“Anything can happen, and Bimini [Bon Boulash] needs to start wearing underwear.” – Lawrence Chaney
Bimini found herself in the bottom two in the premiere after forgetting to hide her tape. She’ll be doing us all a favor tucking those goods far away from everyone’s eyes. Nice bum though.
“Asttina Mandella wins the runway in an ASOS discount jacket. Disgusting. Absolutely appalling.” – A’Whora
Seriously, RuPaul came for the girls wearing basic b**** outfits during the second runway, but let Asttina get away with this crap in the premiere and win? Someone come get Grandpa Ru because he’s clearly losing his damn mind.
“[Ginny Lemon] uses the same six jokes and they’re from Penguin chocolate bars.” – Lawrence Chaney
The girls gave Ginny cockiest queen for a reason, because she ain’t afraid to make herself known. Then again, Ginny needs to learn yellow is not her best color and rebrand herself after that lemon lewk.
“Shadiest queen? A’Whora, she’s a shady c***.” – Tayce
Sometimes the best reads are to the point. A’Whora clearly is a witch because she loves to stir that pot. No surprise she’s the shadiest out of all the season 2 queens. We already know she’s gonna be causing drama later on in the season.
“This is why you need to stop doing drag at 30 people.” – Lawrence Chaney
From the moment Ginny Lemon walked into the werkroom, Lawrence was not a fan. We know this petty rivalry will get spicier as the season goes on, as long as the two actually stay on. Our money says Ginny’s out by episode 4.
“I know pretty much all the girls here. They don’t know me though.” – Veronica Green
A self read a day keeps a queen at bay. Veronica knows her place, but she also knows that place is as the UK’s Next Drag Superstar. But seriously, Veronica does not seem comfortable in the werkroom and we’re wondering if she wandered in by accident.
“I have never met A’Whora, but I have heard plenty about her. My mum always told me if you haven’t got anything nice to say….” – Tia Kofi
Listening to your mother is always the right thing to do, but we do wish Tia decided to spill the tea on A’Whora. The shady queen herself sure isn’t afraid of spilling tea. Tia, you gotta go for the throat so we the viewers can live for the drama.
“You’ve gone from like Kylie Minogue to Jason Donovan.” – Tia Kofi
Where was this sass earlier when you could’ve been spilling tea on A’Whora Tia? Leave poor Veronica alone. This is like shooting a poor deer: Veronica doesn’t know how to sass a queen back.
