Is Elon Musk sending Dr. Fauci to jail?
“My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci”. There are several delicate political situations in this tweet by Elon Musk. Starting with the fact that he is somehow demeriting gender-diverse use of pronouns, which gets even worse when you realize he’s the father of a trans child. On the other hand, he’s pointing at Dr. Antony Fauci as the only guilty figure of COVID-19 existence & mismanagement.
Although Dr. Antony Fauci is an important figure for health & politics not only in America but globally, there are certainly shady things around him to keep in mind. Unlike most of us, Dr. Fauci almost duplicated his net worth with the arrival of the pandemic which is certainly something to think about. But is this enough to send Fauci to jail? And if so, who else should follow him behind bars?
Dr.Fauci, who is eighty-one years old and has served as medical political advisor to seven presidents since Ronald Reagan, will retire this month. Fauci will step down from his position with President Biden as well as his direction in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. We all know Dr. Fauci has been recognized for several contributions to research, but should he be punished in jail?
Who is Dr. Fauci?
There are several questions currently running through our minds. The situation around Dr. Fauci is quite delicate due to the fact that he has been directly involved in the management of several diseases with a big political weight, like HIV/Aids. Although America has always offered vaccines and provided access to qualified medical attention (underpayment, obviously) health institutions hide dirty secrets.
Fauci has been responsible for the management of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, West Nile virus, anthrax attacks, influenza, Zika, Ebola, COVID-19, and monkeypox. Let’s keep in mind HIV/Aids management is still something that angers the LGBT+ community. Several books & papers have been written to signal there are structurally certain bodies that matter more than others, like white, straight, men’s bodies.
Biopolitics & necropolitics will always stay behind all pharmaceutical products & services such as vaccines. But don’t get fooled, the same thing happens with anti-vaxxer tweets from powerful figures. All stimuli with the intention to influence the decisions people make about their health & bodies can be considered power abuse till a certain point.
There are powerful figures who grow their bank accounts on your health decisions and both Musk & Fauci can be called guilty of this. But are Musk’s claims of Fauci getting to jail senseless? But, something else must be hiding behind Musk’s anti-vaxxer supremacist ideology and Fauci’s determinant promotion of boosters & vaccines.
Does Elon Musk have a point?
No matter if you covered your entire vaccine scheme or highly reject vaccines, we can agree that Dr. Fauci has taken a good economic profit from this whole situation. However, Musk’s intention to stop censorship by buying twitter has also impacted his pocket and given him an entire platform to promote his personal ideology. Remember he urged voters to vote for Republican House candidates.
Yet, this goes further than vaccines, lets’s have in mind Hunter Biden’s name figures in the whole Twitter files situation. According to Musk, Fauci basically lied to congress by funding gain-of-function research that only killed millions. For others, Fauci has been described as a political lightning that defended the seriousness of the virus when other governments questioned it.
Musk also posted an image of Fauci retiring from the White House where he’s whispering to the president: “JUST ONE MORE LOCKDOWN MY KING…”. In cases like this where both parties have a long tail to step on, only time will tell if any of them ever reaches jail.
