How does the 2020 NFL season look according to Odds Shark?
It feels like ten years ago that the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl. Here we are at the start of another exciting year of football to see who will become the new champion. There are a lot of predictions & speculations about who has the best chance at winning and who doesn’t have a chance in hell.
After an exhilarating week one, football fans are starting to see who the best and who the worst teams are in the league. Here’s a look at how the NFL will play out, according to Odds Shark.
Who will make the playoffs?
The NFL is introducing a new playoff format for 2020, where seven teams in each conference will make the playoffs for a total of fourteen teams. This includes the winners of each division & three wild cards from each conference.
According to Odd Sharks, in the NFC conference, the teams with the best odds of winning their divisions are the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South, the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East, the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West, and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North.
Teams who have strong odds of getting the wild card spots include the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In the AFC conference, the teams with the best odds of winning their divisions are the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North, the Chiefs in the AFC West, the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, and the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South. The teams who have strong odds of getting a wild card spot are the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Indianapolis Colts.
Who will win the NFC & AFC conferences?
Whoever wins the NFC and AFC championship will go on to play each other in the Super Bowl. According to Odd Sharks, the Chiefs and Ravens are the favorites for the AFC. The Chiefs have been to the AFC championship two years in a row. They won last year but lost the first time to the Patriots. The Ravens were the number one seed last year in the playoffs but ended up losing to the Titans in the second round.
In the NFC, the Saints & Seahawks are the favorites. Quarterback Russel Wilson & the Seahawks had a strong performance in week one against the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints have been rather unlucky in the playoffs recently as they lost last year to the Vikings and lost in the NFC championship two years ago to the Los Angeles Rams after a controversial missed pass interference call.
Other teams with strong odds to win their conferences are the 49ers, Buccaneers, Packers, and Bills.
Who will win the Super Bowl?
According to Odds Shark, the Kansas City Chiefs have the highest odds of winning with many sports betting websites, giving them +450 or +500 odds. Patrick Mahomes is the best Quarterback in the NFL right now, and the Chiefs offense is hard to stop. Rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire impressed in week one. If the Chiefs offense has a strong running game, then they are even more of a threat.
Close behind the Chiefs is the Baltimore Ravens, who have +600, or +550 odds. Last year’s MVP Lamar Jackson is looking as good as ever. However, he has lost twice in the playoffs, so Jackson is looking to prove that he can lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl. Other teams with strong odds to win the Super Bowl are the New Orleans Saints & the San Francisco 49ers.
The New York Jets have the lowest odds to win the Super Bowl with +25000 odds. The Jets looked awful against the Buffalo Bills in week one, so it appears they are living up to expectations. Other teams low on the list are the Cincinnati Bengals & the Jacksonville Jaguars.
