One Direction reunion? See Harry Styles and Niall Horan together again

We haven’t “danced all night to the best song ever” in a long time, but luckily One Direction’s Harry Styles & Niall Horan have lifted our lockdown spirits!

Since our favorite boy band One Direction split up in 2015, all fans have asked is for the members to sing together one more time. However, after a recent run in Los Angeles, fans are convinced that two of the band members may be ready to make that happen. And if not, it’s still a COVID-19 miracle!

“No Control”

Thanks to Eagle-eyed One Direction fans, Twitter is hoping that former bandmates Niall Horan & Harry Styles will call a reunion soon after their recent hike in Los Angeles on February 2nd. 

According to Hollywood Life it’s been over five years since One Direction got together. Though there was a photo of Harry Styles & Niall Horan together in workout gear. 

A One Direction fan frantically tweeted: “‘Harry Styles and Niall Horan spotted together’ is not a sentence I thought I would hear in 2021” while another commented: “wait lemme process this: Niall Horan. . . and. . . Harry Styles. . . were together. . . on Feb 2. . . and Feb 2. . . is the day after Harry’s birthday.”

Another One Direction fan hilariously commented: “Niall & Harry hiking together makes me want to walk more than 150 feet today.”

One Direction’s breakup

The Sun reported the last time the band members sang together was back in 2015 during their world tour. Fans were heartbroken when Zayn left the band for “stress” related issues. A year later, the band split up and created solo albums. 

In 2020, Harry Styles spoke about Zayn Malik’s decision to leave the band on The Howard Stern Show: “I don’t know if I could say it’s something he shouldn’t have done. I just didn’t feel that way. So, it’s hard for me to condemn it, ‘cause I don’t’.”

Harry Styles concluded: “Especially in hindsight looking at it now, the last thing I would’ve wanted is for him to have stayed there if he didn’t want to be there.”

Thanks for the good times

According to Insider, in July 2020, One Direction celebrated their ten-year anniversary. The “Watermelon Sugar” singer Harry Styles posted a loving photo of the group on social media with the caption: “I’ve been struggling to put into words how grateful I am for everything that’s happened over the last ten years. I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dream of when I was growing up.”

Harry Styles further expressed: “I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most incredible people, and gained friendships that I know I will treasure for the rest of my life.” We’re feeling the love! 

Friends forever

While Harry Styles might be moving on with a hit album (Fine Line) & starting his acting career, Niall Horan previously told GQ magazine that he tries to stay in touch with every member from One Direction. 

In March 2020, Niall Horan admitted: “As long as I’ve known him, Zayn’s (Malik) been the hardest man to stay in touch with. Then we had a falling out a few years ago and, to be honest, that’s just the dynamic: you have people you are friends with and people you are not.”

Niall Horan explained the other members (Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson) “try” to stay in touch. In fact, Horan claimed: “I talk to Louis a lot. It’s the lads with the kids that you try to keep in touch with especially, just to see how they are.”

Reunion? 

Though Harry Styles & Niall Horan may have gone on a hike together in Los Angeles, One Directioners are still waiting for a full band reunion. Thanks to Hollywood Life, we know each member is extremely busy with Styles focused on his movie Don’t Worry Darling & Malik with his first child. . . only time will tell.
