Martin Polanco – What is Effective Ways to Adopt a More Relaxed Attitude

Wouldn’t you like to just relax and enjoy life more? I’m sure that most people would say “Yes.”

Here are some tips to help you do just that.

  1. Let Go of the Past.  

It’s time to let go of the past and all things associated with it: guilt, grudges, etc.

  1. Let Go of the Future.    

Do this by looking for what’s good in each day, no matter how mundane it may seem at times. 

  1. Don’t Dwell on Problems.  

If you have a problem, deal with it but don’t dwell on it or allow yourself to build up negative emotions over something that is out of your control.

  1. Be Aware of Your Breathing.   

Martin Polanco says a lot of people breathe abnormally which can lead to stress and anxiety issues. Pay attention to your breathing, slow it down if necessary and work towards getting into the habit of proper breathing; deep breaths from the diaphragm instead of shallow breaths from the upper chest will help you feel relaxed and more in control of your life.

  1. Be Mindful of Your Body.   

When you feel tense, take a break from whatever it is that’s stressing you out and spend some time getting to know your body again: how does it feel? Where are the places where you hold tension? Start to work on releasing the tension and relaxing your muscles. Do this often enough and it will become easier and easier until it becomes second nature to relax areas of high muscle tension as soon as they start tensing up.

  1. Get Worked Up About Something You Enjoy.   

Do something that really gets you excited about living! Find things that truly interest you and get involved with them; anything from sports to art or whatever you’re passionate about. 

  1. Find a Hobby that Relaxes You.   

Even if it’s something as simple as collecting seashells — use your imagination — and find a hobby that clears your mind and relaxes you, even for just a little while each day. It can be very therapeutic to focus on things you love rather than the stress in your life.

  1. Get Plenty of Exercise Every Day.   

This is one of the most straightforward ways to improve your mental state because exercise releases endorphins into the body which make you feel good about yourself and lessens depression symptoms, anxiety, etc., plus there are other benefits such as stronger immune system function, more effective lungs – causing better oxygen intake and more efficient blood circulation and heart function.

  1. Eat Right to Keep Your Body Healthy.   

What you put into your body, you get out of it so eat healthier by making sure that most of what goes into your mouth is fresh fruit, veggies, and lean proteins such as chicken, turkey, or fish instead of red meat or processed foods which can increase stress levels in the body due to an overload on the liver’s detoxification pathways plus what you’re putting into your body are reflected in how you look and feel about yourself. 

If you eat poorly then chances are that you don’t like how you look very much and that will cause stress and anxiety issues.

  1. Learn Stress-Red Techniques.   

There’s a real art to being able to manage your stress effectively. It does not just about know what to do but practicing the techniques so that you’re able to implement them successfully whenever the need arises. 

Deep breathing is a great way for keeping emotions in check, bringing an end to angry outbursts, or curbing other big reactions that are happening on the inside of us before they have a chance to manifest as negative behavior or emotional outbursts.
