It’s neither too hot nor too cold and one can fully enjoy and savour the beauty of the Taj Mahal. Also, the spring season is when the gardens are blooming with flowers and it adds to the experience of the visit. 

Summers in the entire North Indian region are extremely hot and you would want to avoid visiting here in summers. If you wish to avoid crowds and save some money, then you can look to visit in the winter season. Timings to Visit the Taj Mahal and Related Expenditure

The Taj Mahal remains open on all days except Fridays every week. Also, the monument is open for viewing across all seasons, though the timings might differ. On Friday, it is only open for a select group of people who come to offer their prayers. 

While there is generally no difficulty in visiting this iconic venue, people might have to wait in long queues. This usually occurs on public holidays or long weekends. Also, tourist access might even be restricted during VVIP visits for security reasons. 

The monument has a three-tier entry fee system. For Indians, it is only Rs. 50. For people belonging to the SAARC and BIMSTEC nations, it is Rs. 540, and for all others, it’s Rs. 1100. The tourism industry now even offers visitors to book tickets online in order to save money.

The Taj Mahal is also open for the iconic night visit on 5 nights a month. These include the night of the full moon and two nights before and after the full moon night. The monument is open for 4 hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am. 

Eight batches of 400 people are allowed to visit for a total of 30 minutes. All the bookings must be made at least 24 hours prior to the visit to ensure a hassle-free visit.

The Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour

The Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour is a special tourist service provided to people to visit the Taj Mahal. It covers Delhi and the NCR region and includes a pick-up and drop facility by car and guide assistance. 

The package is inclusive of 5-star buffet breakfast and all other entry and toll charges. The tour begins at 2:30 am early in the morning and covers the entire day. The tour has a strict cancellation policy & all cancellations must be made 48 priors to the booking to seek a refund.
