‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ trailer hype level: All-time high
Disney has become the master of dropping awesome trailers for their franchises the day tickets go on sale. Of course, while being cynical about Disney’s business practices, we still got sucked into the new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer.
It’s hard not to. The trailer shows the sheer scale of the final chapter in the new Star Wars trilogy. The epic new footage begins to paint a picture of the fight our heroes will have to go through.
Between the return of Palpatine, a shot full of older ships, and the return of C3PO and R2D2 as actual tagalong pals, there’s a lot for fans to be excited for. Within the first hour of tickets going on sale, Star Wars fans broke the record Avengers: Endgame set for pre-sale tickets – surely thanks to the trailer.
Fans of the series wasted no time reacting and speculating thanks to the new footage in the trailer, so we’ve gathered the best reactions across all of Twitter. If you’re just as excited as these fans are for the new film, we recommend you get your Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tickets now so you can actually see it opening weekend.
Maybe it’s cheating including one of the Rise of Skywalker actors, but Richard E. Grant’s love of the franchise is just so pure to see.
Film Twitter will definitely be horny over this shot for the rest of time, like they are about the scene in Snoke’s chambers from The Last Jedi.
Even when this trilogy ends, the stories being told will become as iconic as the trilogies before. Besides, Disney won’t let the franchise die without merchandising it to death.
Star Wars fans probably won’t stop crying over C3PO’s appearance in Rise of Skywalker trailer, since the franchise has killed off everyone else from the older trilogies.
Theorists have finally given up on the theories on who Rey’s parents are, and have instead changed to “evil twin”, as though that’s ever been the case.
Bad pun aside, Rise of Skywalker clearly promises the revival of the Resistance fans have been waiting for. Speaking of the Resistance:

On the other hand, Rey is finally becoming the Jedi everyone wants her to be, besides the sexist Star Wars fans who still think The Last Jedi was bad.
Rey is going to be the next Luke no matter what any crybaby fanboy says. She will reach the end of her hero’s journey in The Rise of Skywalker and it’s going to be epic.
