How much is Bill Gates worth? Will Windows 11 boost his billions?

Microsoft has just announced on Thursday that Windows 11 is officially coming, so what does this mean? Well, the software giant reported that the next major version of Windows is going to launch as a free upgrade this fall, and users can experience tons of exciting new features. So what does this mean for Bill Gates? Let’s find out how much Bill Gates is worth here and how the Windows 11 update will impact his net worth.

Net worth

As most people know, Bill Gates is one of the richest people in the entire world. The founder of Microsoft is one of the world’s richest billionaires, but how much exactly is Bill Gates worth? Well, according to Wealth-X, a data company that tracks net worth, the net worth of this billionaire is estimated to be at least $134.1 billion. Holey-Moley. And for most of us, we won’t ever even see one billion dollars in our lifetime.

So where did all this money come from? Well, we all know that most of Bill Gates’ success can be attributed to Microsoft, but now it seems that his shares in the company only currently represent around 19.6% of his wealth. So how much more money did Bill Gates make and what is helping his income now? This can be traced to tons of other factors such as real estate, investments from art to stocks, and much more.

CNBC reported that Bill Gates “has a multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio worth over $166 million in total” and that “the estimated value of his stake in the property is $65 million”. He also owns a collection of sports cars worth around $650,000 along with a huge art collection worth around $130 million. Finally, he has tons of private holdings and investments in stocks, which accounts for about 22.4% of his wealth.

Windows 11

So now the main concern we’re all probably wondering is just how much will Bill Gates net worth rise following the release of Windows 11. Well, whatever that number may be, we’re sure it’s going to be a hefty amount. However, we can’t imagine with all those billions he already has if it’ll even make much of a difference. After all, what does someone even do with all that money in the first place?

As for Windows 11, we’re sure Microsoft users are super excited to find out what all the new features are going to be like. It seems that Windows 11 is going to be a major breakthrough, as the company announced that it is designed to put Microsoft as a company whose products can work well with other tech giants such as Apple, Google, and more. That sounds like some pretty big news for the tech world.

For example, Microsoft will be expanding its support for the Android app, which will allow users to run their phone apps much more easily on their desktops. Cnet also announced that “Microsoft’s building its Teams software into Windows in a similar way as Apple’s FaceTime is built into Macs — except Microsoft doesn’t want it to be exclusive”.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella expressed on Thursday: “With Windows 11, we have a renewed sense of Windows’ role in the world. Today, the world needs a more open platform, one that allows apps to become a platform in their own right. Windows is a platform where things that are bigger than Windows can be born, like the web”. Well, it seems like there’s some pretty big changes, alright.

This looks like pretty good news for Microsoft, which means that this is all the more good news for Bill Gates. What are you expecting to see from Windows 11? Are you excited for the update? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
