Jeffrey Epstein Bill Clinton ties: the island links you missed
Jeffrey Epstein’s connections with prominent figures never seem to end. Known for networking and “invest[ing] in people”, Epstein’s group of friends was impressive. As information about Epstein’s private island and sexual abuse has been revealed, these ties to former and current politicians have gained widespread attention. Enter Bill Clinton. Epstein came into the spotlight when Clinton’s trip to Africa made headlines. While Clinton continues to deny allegations of being involved with Epstein’s crimes, the two share numerous incriminating ties.
A trip to Africa
In 2002, Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein toured African countries on a week-long trip along with actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker. It was a trip for the Clinton Foundation meant to raise awareness about the H.I.V. and AIDS crisis and poverty in Africa. Until the trip to Africa, Epstein kept out of the media’s attention. However, his sudden connection with the president quickly put the socialite in the media spotlight. Clinton went with Epstein because Epstein had a private jet whose infamous sobriquet is “Lolita Express”. After the trip, Clinton called Epstein a “highly successful financier and a committed philanthropist” in a statement.
Photos of Clinton
Leaked photographs showed Clinton with Ghislaine Maxwell on the trip to Africa. Maxwell has been convicted of recruiting girls for Epstein and is serving a prison sentence. Other photos from the trip show Clinton with Chauntae Davies, who is known for being Epstein’s masseuse and has accused Epstein of sexual assault. Later document releases added more images of Clinton and Maxwell together.
Other trips with Epstein
Clinton took three other trips with Epstein from 2002 to 2003. Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Ureña reported they were all in connection to the Clinton Foundation. Flight records revealed Clinton and Epstein had taken even more flights together – up to twenty-six – but no information has come to light explaining what those flights were for. Recent analyses of the logs confirm the majority involved foundation-related work.
Epstein’s island
Virginia Roberts, one of the most prominent women who has accused Epstein of sex trafficking, said she saw President Clinton on Little St. James, Jeffrey Epstein’s island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. When she asked Epstein what Clinton was doing, Epstein said, “Well, he owes me a favor.” In Netflix’s Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich docuseries, Steve Scully, a former employee on Epstein’s island, also claimed to have seen Clinton on Little St. James sitting with Epstein in the “living room porch area” – “Jeffrey’s favorite spot”, according to Scully. Clinton repeatedly denied claims he’s been on Little St. James.
Epstein’s personal phonebook
Epstein’s phonebook was published after being submitted in court as an exhibit against Epstein in 2015. The phonebook had over twenty separate contacts to reach Bill Clinton, some filed under Doug Band, who was Clinton’s former adviser.
Charity donations
Epstein had previously led the C.O.U.Q. Foundation, supposedly a charity organization. In 2006, the organization donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation. The C.O.U.Q. Foundation’s name can still be seen on the Clinton Foundation’s website under a list of donors.
2025-2026 Epstein Files Releases and Congressional Testimony
House Oversight Committee proceedings and new document batches in late 2025 and early 2026 added staff emails and additional photos but produced no criminal allegations against Clinton. In February 2026 closed-door depositions, Clinton testified he met Epstein around 2001-2002 through Larry Summers and flew only on foundation business.
Ghislaine Maxwell's Statements on Clinton-Epstein Relationship
Maxwell told the Department of Justice in 2025 that Clinton had no independent friendship with Epstein and never visited the island. Documents show she facilitated some Clinton Foundation-related meetings and flights.
Updated Flight Log Analysis and Foundation Context
Logs show 24 or more flights with Clinton and entourage; many were linked to Clinton Foundation projects. Spokesperson statements consistently tie the trips to foundation awareness-raising work.
Absence of Criminal Allegations Against Clinton
No survivors have accused Clinton of misconduct. Clinton has maintained he knew nothing of the crimes and would have reported them if aware.
Decades later, the documented record shows repeated flights and shared social circles but no evidence that Clinton participated in Epstein’s crimes. Congressional testimony and file releases have added detail without shifting that core assessment.
