‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’: Who’s joining the revival’s cast?
The Proud Family is one of those series that is fondly, fondly remembered all who watched it growing up. Running from 2001 to 2005, the series follows the adventures of Penny Proud (Kyla Pratt), a teenage girl trying to navigate her life, her friends, and her loud yet embarrassing family. The Proud Family had a good mix of humor and, at times, drama. It was also not afraid to handle some heavy issues.

Each detail only got people more excited. The original cast is set to return to voice their characters, which yes please. We are dying over this excellent casting news, everyone. Emmy award-winning actor Billy Porter (Pose) & Zachary Quinto (NOS4A2) are set to join the cast of The Proud Family as the parents to Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, Barry (Quinto) & Randall (Porter). The two are the mixed raced adoptive dads to 14-year-old Maya. Based on the images of the characters, we already love them.
The other new character announced is Penny’s “best guy friend” Michael Collins. EJ Johnson (Rich Kids of Beverly Hills) is set to voice the character, who is described “a non-conforming trendsetter, serving up fierce looks at school and on the basketball court.” This is a revamp from the character in the OG series, who was voiced by Phil LaMarr.
