Do we hear wedding bells? It’s official, Kristen Stewart & Dylan Meyer are engaged! The thirty-one year old Twilight & The Runaways actress first opened up about the exciting news on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, November 2nd.
“We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it,” Stewart said. “I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
Stewart was over the moon about her new engagement and has been smitten with her fiancé, Dylan Meyer, for quite some time now.
Kristen Stewart and her screenwriter girlfriend met years ago on a movie set, but didn’t reconnect until six years later at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Sparks began to fly between Kristen Stewart & Dylan Meyer in August 2019 when they were spotted kissing in New York. Not too long after, they made their relationship Instagram official in October 2019.
I’m so f—ing in love with you
The couple has been blissfully together ever since. Kristen Stewart & Dylan Meyer fell fast and hard – foot off the break. In fact, last November, Stewart told Howard Stern that she couldn’t wait to propose to Meyer but wanted to be reasonable and not rush into things.
Stewart admitted she can be impulsive at times and wanted to tread lightly. In an interview, Stern asked Stewart,“Have you told her I love you yet?” Kristen Stewart nods her head and smiles.
“The first time I told her I love her it was really late and we were in some shitty bar, and her friends were there or whatever and they walked out, and I was just like, ‘Oh, man, I’m so f—ing in love with you.’ Like, done,” she said. “It wasn’t like ‘a thing,’ and it also was so obvious.”
Cagey love
Kristen Stewart is normally private about her love life and shied away from the spotlight. In an InStyle interview with Happiest Season director, Clea DuVall, Stewart explains how she put an exceedingly extra amount of effort not to be seen by the public while out with her significant other.
“This was a period of time when I was sort of cagey,” Stewart added. “Even in my previous relationships, which were straight, we did everything we could not to be photographed doing things — things that would become not ours. So I think the added pressure of representing a group of people, of representing queerness, wasn’t something I understood then. Only now can I see it.”
The straight and narrow
Before her romantic love affair with Dylan Meyer, Stewart was seen with her on-again off-again girlfriend – Stella Maxwell. As the relationship seemed to be rocky, everything changed for Stewart when she met Meyer.
According to ELLE Magazine a source was quoted saying, “Kristen isn’t holding back at all and loves being with her [Dylan Meyer]. They are moving quickly and always together.”
There were rumors that Kristen Stewart & Dylan Meyer were getting engaged in July as the press captured both of them wearing rings on their left fingers. The relationship has been a great change of pace for Stewart. The love between Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer have been on the straight and narrow path since the beginning.
