Want to have a Dreamworks Animation marathon with the kids, or just for your own self if you’re feeling a little nostalgic? Well, we have got you covered with the list of all our favorite ones. Reminisce on the good, simple days with this list of our fave Dreamworks Animations movies here.

Shrek (2001)

You can bet that this classic hit movie will be at the very top of our list of the best Dreamworks movies. Whether you still love the movies to this day or you’re fairly sick of it, you have to admit that Shrek still remains an important part of pop culture and animated movies. The Shrek series is perfect satire, and has everything from fairytale romances to hilarious jokes to iconic quotes.

For those who live under a rock and have never heard of this absolute classic, Shrek is centered on an ogre and told in a tone of a fairytale. The ogre, named Shrek, prefers to live in isolation until one day, a group of irritating fairy tale characters invades his beloved swamp household due to the evil Lord Farquaad’s new rulings. From there, Shrek cuts a deal with Farquaad to rescue a princess so he can get his privacy back.

Shrek was such a hit that Dreamworks even decided to make three more movies in the series, which include Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After. The films have an all-star cast of voice actors and actresses which include Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and more. Also, the series recently just turned twenty years old, so of course, we should be celebrating by watching these classic movies again.

How to Train Your Dragon (2010)

How to Train Your Dragon is up next on our list of classic Dreamworks movies to watch. If you’re looking for the perfect family film that mixes fantasy, action (PG-rated, of course), and humor, then this film should be a contender for your next family movie night. How to Train Your Dragon is all about a teen named Hiccup on the island of Berk, a place where fighting dragons is the norm.

After being placed in a school to learn how to fight dragons, his goal to become a real Viking is challenged after he makes friends with a dragon named Toothless who is injured. Soon enough, the two begin to form a strong friendship, and Hiccup begins to change the way the town views dragons forever. If you like that, you can also stream the sequel that also got great reviews: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.

The Croods (2013)

This is another great animated film to watch that has tons of humor and is just an absolute blast. The Croods also has an incredible cast filled with talents like Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Nicolas Cage, and more. This film centers on the Croods family and is based in the Prehistoric age. The family consists of Grug, his wife Ugga, the grandma, and their kids Eep and Thunk.

However, their simple Prehistoric lives of hunting and gathering are interrupted when a more evolved caveman named Guy comes into the picture. Immediately, Grug does not trust Guy. Want to know what happens next? Well, you and your family are just going to have to watch and find out. The series also just included a sequel last year titled The Croods: A New Age, so you can even enjoy a double-feature. Watch on!
