‘Rick and Morty’ S4: Relive the greatest Interdimensional Cable TV moments
Every Rick and Morty fan worth his or her squanch will know that “wubba lubba dub dub” actually means “I am in great pain, please help me” in Birdperson talk (apparently). Not only will they know this, but they’ll also quite literally be screaming out in lubba dub while waiting for season four’s excruciatingly delayed release.
We do have good news, tho: yesterday, Adult Swim released the first trailer for S4 of Rick and Morty and gave us a November 2019 drop date.
It was long enough waiting to find out if we were getting a season four at all, and now we know it’s happening (with 70 episodes confirmed, no less). And if you’re worried the show might lose its edge, co-creator Dan Harmon has already revealed he’s switching up the writing process to ensure the animated sci-fi comedy turned cultural phenomenon doesn’t slip.
“It’s a show that can literally go anywhere and do anything. It has a boundless margin for nihilism; in other words, you can’t go too far. Not only narratively, but also tonally, there is nothing off the table for the show,” declared Harmon.
While we wait, we’re going over our fave R&M moments in a ferocious fever to suck up all the hype possible before season four drops. And what better way to do so than by exploring the multiverse of the Rick and Morty world presented to us in S1E8, “Rixty Minutes”, in which Rick rigs an interdimensional cable box to allow the family to watch TV from multiple realities. With infinite shows on offer from infinite dimensions, here’s our rundown of the best picks from the episode. And awaaay we go!
