Things have been rocky for the couple for years, but publications across the board this week reported the two have split yet again. E! Reported this week that Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson have split up, and the break seems to be for real this time. Celebrity tea addicts & gossip freaks alike were speculating the two may have broken up during lockdown last year amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the couple’s track record wasn’t exactly spotless before then.
In early June, E! Dropped a story about Kardashian & Thompson, saying Khloé was standing by Tristan amid rumors the pro athlete had been cheating on his baby momma. Fans were wondering if Thompson was up to his old tricks and cheating again.
The rumors came after Thompson’s very public bout of infidelity in 2018 which Kardashian confirmed, Insider reported, back in 2019. The 2018 scandal all occurred when Kardashian was pregnant, making matters worse for the famous couple. Now, Thompson is facing the same accusations again, this time while parenting his young daughter.
Too betrayed
Now, rumors of Tristan Thompson cheating have appeared to affect his relationship once again. The rumors of infidelity have turned to rumors about a breakup, and fans want to know if this time, Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson have thrown in the towel for good.
On Monday, June 21st, headlines lit up about Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson splitting, and the news appears to be legit. A source close to Khloé says they broke up because of the latest stream of rumors regarding Thompson’s infidelity.
A source close to Kardashian is quoted telling E! “They had been working through the cheating rumors for the last couple of weeks, but Khloe told Tristan he lost all of her trust and the relationship could not be repaired . . . Khloe really tried, but ultimately, felt too betrayed by him. She’s done and says she will not go back”.
Family ties
Despite the couple’s recent split, the two will continue to remain in each other’s lives.
For those not in the know, Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson co-parent their child True. They’ve had their dysfunctional family going for three years, and a source close to Kardashian seemed to imply the couple’s break up hasn’t had an effect on their parenting yet.
The source is quoted saying, “They have been co-parenting and have seen each other several times in the last week with True . . . but are not romantically together”. Kardashian has been adamant about the couple’s breakup not affecting the well-being of their daughter.
After Thompson’s last cheating scandal, fans hoped the two would stay away from each other romantically. However, in 2020 the two linked back up and by March 2021 Khloé took to Instagram to publicly declare her love for Thompson, despite critics’ disapproval. The post was made for Thompson’s thirtieth birthday, and the gushing display told haters the two were stronger for having dealt with their many struggles.
