Focus On: Actor Victor Turner
Actor Victor Turner is proving to be double the talent in film and television.
Victor and his real-life identical ‘mirror’ twin brother, Jason, recently gained attention for their heart wrenching portrayal as conjoined twins on the hit NBC series “Chicago Med.” During the Season 10-episode, Victor portrays Elijah Powell, who is forced to convince his brother to have a surgery that would separate them and ultimately result in his brother’s death.

“The subject matter was so real for me that I wasn’t sure if I could do it. I was very emotional,” explains Victor. “This was by far my favorite role to date. It allowed me to explore a genuine relationship dynamic with my twin brother.” The outcome was an unforgettable performance for loyal fans around the world.
Originally from Oglethorpe, Georgia, Victor began a career in modeling as a teen when he and his twin were discovered at the local mall by Tommy Hilfiger. The duo moved to New York City and quickly became known in the industry as the ‘Tommy Twins’. This led to appearances on several network shows including “Jenny Jones,” “Ricky Lake,” and “Ru Paul.”

On the advice of a prominent casting director, Victor made the move with this brother to Los Angeles to pursue acting. To hone the craft, he studied at the respected Ivana Chubbuck Drama School, and it didn’t take long for his natural talent to start landing roles on network television shows.
A few years later, Victor elected to return to Georgia without his brother. It was a significant decision that resulted in a big payoff. He hit the ground running, booking notable roles in several high-profile TV series, such as “Ozark,” “The Resident,” “Nashville,” and “NCIS: New Orleans.” He also emerged on the big screen in the TriStar Pictures comedy feature, “Mom’s Night Out,” as a Police Officer who, in a climactic moment, accidentally shoots Patricia Heaton with a taser.

Up next, Victor is excited to team once again with his brother for a significant role in a big comedy feature film. Further details are being kept under wraps.
“Working with my brother is always fun,” explains Victor. “We’ve been reading and reacting to one another our entire lives, so we can anticipate the other’s thoughts and actions. It makes for a simplified way to work, but it is so fulfilling.”
