The nude truth: Why do the ‘Friends’ cast hate Courteney Cox?
Courteney Cox is an American actress, producer, and director best known for her role as Monica Geller on the NBC sitcom Friends. She has also starred in successful films such as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective & Scream. Cox starred in the ABC sitcom Cougar Town and she reprised her role as Monica Geller in Friends: The Reunion. In addition to her acting career, Cox serves as executive producer and director of various projects.
Recently, Cox was awarded for her years of acting with a Walk of Fame star. But some friends were MIA. Here’s the nude truth about Courteney Cox’s former costars.
They’ll be there for you?
Friends was an iconic television sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004. The series followed the lives of six friends in their 20s and 30s as they navigated life in New York City: Monica, a chef; Rachel, a spoiled rich girl-turned-waitress; Phoebe, a masseuse, and musician; Joey, an aspiring actor; Chandler, a data processing executive (we think); and Ross, an aspiring paleontologist.
Along with their many adventures, romances, career successes, and misadventures, the characters also faced crushes and heartbreak. Through it all, they stayed close friends. Though many years have passed since they first graced television screens, these beloved characters remain timelessly memorable.
Courteney Cox starred alongside Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) on the hit NBC sitcom Friends. Courteney Cox played Monica Geller on Friends. She was one of six main characters and acted as the “mother hen” to the group. Monica was a chef in various restaurants throughout the show’s ten-season run.
After the long run of Friends, Courteney Cox starred in a handful of films and television shows. She appeared in several episodes of the television show Scrubs and had a role on the show Cougar Town from 2009 to 2015. She also starred in movies such as Bedtime Stories (2008), Just Before I Go (2014), and Mothers And Daughters (2016). Additionally, she reprised her role as Monica Bing in the special reunion episode of Friends that aired on HBO Max in 2020.
The One Where Cox Gets A Star
Fifty-eight-year-old Courteney Cox finally got honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her costars from Friends, Jennifer Aniston & Lisa Kudrow joined Cox and honored her with a speech during the ceremony. However, a few castmates and longtime friends were missing and it didn’t go unnoticed.
Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer were absent during the award ceremony and fans want the nude truth behind the snub. However, Aniston & Kudrow were present and were able to deliver a speech about their friend and former costar Courteney Cox. As reported in the New York Post, Kudrow “praised Cox and called her a “sister” to them, pointing out that they have all been friends for 30 years.”
Aniston added, “We’re very honored to be here today to speak on your behalf as your co-workers, your friends and your family, your sister. To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney. She is responsible for all of that. From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, and interested in everything about you.”
It’s clear her female costars are still enamored with Cox, but is something amiss with LeBlanc, Perry, and Schwimmer? Let’s hope not.
